Lumina ‘Simply 8Mazing’ on it’s 8th year

With so many feathers in its cap, Vista Land’s mass-marketed housing arm Lumina can own the monicker Pambansang Bahay ni Juan, and aptly so, as it celebrates its eighth anniversary dubbed Pambansang Araw ng Bahay ni Juan with the theme, “Simply 8mazing.”

Categorized under affordable housing, Lumina developments showcase what Vista Land takes pride in — master-planned communities complete with amenities like a community hall, basketball court, mini-gardens and playground, and commercial areas.

By building in accessible locations close to major thoroughfares, transport hubs, schools, hospitals, and business and leisure centers, Lumina is not just building a self-sustaining community, it also provides every Juan the pride of homeownership.

Lumina believes that progress is not limited to high-rise condominiums and luxurious residential addresses, but rather having a home that one owns.

Lumina offers a variety of rowhouses and two-story units offered between P500,000 and P1.7 million.

In 2012, Vista Land launched the Lumina line of mass-marketed housing communities to aid the country’s massive housing backlog, which has now reached 6.7 million, according to the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association, Inc. (SHDA).

In August that year, Lumina introduced its first-ever project in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Lumina Batangas triggered the company’s unstoppable growth, which now covers six projects in the province.

The company creates an ideal home within growing cities that still capture a countryside charm, a decent livable space for individuals or start-up families.

Today, Lumina houses more than 100,000 Filipinos in over 50 provinces, including Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsogon, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Negros Occidental, Agusan del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, and South Cotabato.

Lumina’s home options range from 22 sqm to 53 sqm floor area, with provision of up to three bedrooms, depending on the house model.

Keen on innovating, in 2017, the company launched Lumina Homes Online, the first online reservation system for mass-marketed housing units. This allows homebuyers to reserve units online and pay via credit card or through over-the-counter banking.

Pag-IBIG Fund recognized Lumina’s unparalleled efforts as it announced the company as Top 1 Developer in 2019, for having the most housing loans takeout value and for serving most number of housing borrowers.

And just early this year, the company’s products are now made available via Lazada and Shopee — the first real estate brand on Shopee — to give homebuyers safe and more convenient options in reserving their own home.

For its anniversary celebration, Lumina keeps the occasion unique and meaningful despite the current crisis. Among this year’s activities are: Luntiang Lumina, an urban gardening initiative in all Lumina communities nationwide, which encourages Lumina residents and homeowners to grow food plants indoors or in their mini-gardens; Bating Pinoy, Bating Kabarangay, an online contest for the best Filipino greeting tutorial video, aimed to further popularize the new ways of greeting under House Resolution 48; Your Own Lots Only (YOLO), which introduces Lumina’s new product line, the “lots only packages” that give homebuyers more property options; Lumina Online University, the company’s new sales training portal especially designed for individuals interested to join Lumina’s growing sales network; 2nd Kumustahan sa Bayan ni Juan, a live video conference of all Lumina sales agents and brokers nationwide, which recognizes those who have performed well in sales; and a Two-day 8citing Weekend Sale, which offers reservation discounts that future Lumina homebuyers shouldn’t miss.

Reaching thousands of Filipinos in need of affordable housing, Lumina provides every Juan the pride of home ownership.

Lumina continues to disrupt the industry and outshine its segment. It’s optimistic to bounce back after the pandemic and help more Filipino families who deserve a decent and affordable home.
