Kohler: The art of showering (Statement Showering Collection)

The Roman Baths, the Japanese Onsen, and the Finnish Sauna are all part of the centuries-old traditional bathing practices.

In the Philippines, we have Los Baños in Laguna and other cold and hot springs which are volcanic in nature. Filipinos would bathe together in nearby rivers. In Mauban, Quezon, there is a public bath which was built in 1725. All of these are social in character where people converge and interact with each other.

In the modern world, spas have emerged in different forms, all with the purpose of healing and treating aches and pains. Spas are at the forefront of holistic health and wellness movement. What most people don’t know is that SPA is an acronym for “Salus Per Aquam” which means health from water. Bathing may be calming and relaxing while showering is quick and refreshing. Baths may be better for stimulating the nervous system, exfoliating the skin and relaxing the muscles but showers are usually better for cleansing your body and getting rid of bacteria and dirt.

In the midst of the pandemic where social interaction was minimized and regular handshaking and showering were encouraged, frequent showering has become a necessity. Kohler, for its part, made showering a luxury.

Kohler Co.

Founded in 1873 in Kohler, Wisconsin, it is one of America’s oldest and privately held companies. It is a global leader in the manufacture of kitchen and bath products, engines and power systems; premiere cabinetry, tile and lighting. It also owns five-star hospitality and golf resort destinations in Wisconsin and Scotland.

Super Sprays

There are different spray experiences. It could be intensified for enhanced coverage and comfort or cascading at an angled stream to target the shoulders.

Kohler body spray

Cloud spray is a luxurious spray which is super fine, silken droplets. Infinity is an interlocked water stream which creates three experience zones in a single spray. Strong streams of water create a deep massage while a wide spray of fine droplets create a soothing stream. A unique spray mimics a rainfall.

Stylish Showerheads

Kohler brings a range of unique shapes and an array of sizes. The single function rainhead delivers a drenching spray while the multi-function rainhead features ribbon massage where water cascades at an angled stream.

Kohler sleek design

Open rain iconic rainhead is in sleek, ultra minimal style which transforms a smooth, laminar flow into an enveloping rainfall.

The multifunction showerhead has a three-spray button and a full-range ball joint rotation. Single function iconic handshower creates a rising zone, merges into a warming zone at the spray’s center, and finally separates for a full-coverage zone.

The multi-function handshower has easily accessed actuation buttons. My favorite is the multi-function wand iconic handshower which can be used for massage or cleaning the shower area. Round and oblong body sprays can be installed at any height. Their vigorous streams target sore muscles with a deep massage spray.

Fine Finishes

Finishes include polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and brushed modern brass. They are not only aesthetically beautiful but functional, as well. The components were designed to be universally compatible.

Valves and Controls

Hardware does the hard job. Anthem Values and Control offers a myriad combination of temperature and spray control. There are two valve platforms to choose from: mechanical and digital.

The valves can control up to six outlets. Each outlet can be independently adjusted. They are minimalist, sophisticated and user-friendly. With all these features, the user can preset his choice of temperature and spray control.

Kohler has adapted to the times by including some touchless features. This latest collection of showers is surely making a statement that Kohler is still at the top of the game.

When it comes to showers, Kohler is the torch bearer.
