Wilcon Depot celebrates significant milestones in 2021

Looking back and celebrating the accomplishments and milestones that happened to us in the past year is a great way to end 2021 and start 2022. Acknowledging that we have made significant progress gives us reasons to keep moving forward and continue to thrive.

As we welcome 2022, we want to celebrate  some of the most significant milestones we’ve hit last year as we continue building big ideas for every Filipino home. Amid the restrictions that changed our business operations and reshaped our lives since the pandemic hit, the challenges led to better things for us. Wilcon Depot rose to the occasion and accomplished numerous achievements that marked important leaps in our business.

Wilcon did everything to continue serving and bringing value to Filipino home builders. With our commitment to bringing high-quality products and excellent customer experience nationwide, Wilcon continued to expand its store presence by opening more retail outlets across the country.

During the first half of 2021, the company opened stores in Makato, Aklan; Capitol, Commonwealth; Ormoc City, Leyte; and Cordon, Isabela.

Aside from that, Wilcon also managed to launch the Wilcon Online Store, our very own online shopping site. Last May, our valued customers started to enjoy shopping for their home and building needs and to have their items either delivered to their doorsteps or picked up from the store.

Wilcon also launched the Home Living Section inside our stores, which exhibits thematically arranged spaces. This feature aims to give lifestyle inspirations that customers can recreate in their own spaces with products that they can get from our extensive lines of furniture, decor, and other home interior products.

Achieving more milestones in the second half of the year, Wilcon held consecutive store openings in Sorsogon City; Pila, Laguna; Tagum; Dauis, Bohol; Malaybalay City, Bukidnon; as well as Wilcon Home Essentials in San Fernando.

Wilcon has successfully opened ten stores and ended the year with 73 stores  — 18 branches in Metro Manila and 55 stores in key cities and municipalities of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The new stores represent Wilcon’s relentless commitment to providing valued customers a more convenient and better home shopping experience.

These store openings are part of our #FlyingHighTo100 store expansion campaign, where we aim to have 100 operating stores nationwide by 2025, barring any unexpected external factors.

Wilcon aims to establish stores in every key city and locality across the country, and that desire is rooted in our commitment to serving many Filipino communities. This year, we are planning to open 10 stores.

Indeed, Wilcon has come so far from its humble beginnings when it started in 1977 as a 60-square meter hardware store.
