‘Canadian Manufacturing unveils nature-friendly Bamboo Cotton Collection

Marking its 60th anniversary with a renewed commitment toward protecting the environment,

Canadian Manufacturing, a manufacturer of high-quality bed linens and towels, recently unveiled its new Bamboo Cotton Collection and partnership with Haribon Foundation in a campaign to support reforestation efforts in denuded woodlands around the country.

Sustainable and environment-friendly

The collection is an innovative and eco-friendly line of bed linens and bed accessories made from 100% bamboo. The key material, bamboo, is a sustainable raw material that is a better alternative to plastic for it has minimal environmental impact.

Canadian Bamboo sheets feature a thread count of 300 and are breathable with odor protection, antimicrobial and smooth as silk. The sheets’ thermo-control feature is perfect for Philippine weather and users with sensitive skin.

Completing the eco-friendly line is Canadian’s waterproof mattress and pillow protectors, all made of 100% bamboo. These bed accessories protect the sheets from spills, stains and dust mites. Canadian also uses reusable self-fabric packaging and biodegradable carton for the packaging of the collection. The collection uses little to no chemicals during the entire production process and comes in five fresh colors — Coconut, Olive, Ice Drop, Coal, and Wheat. These new products signify the company’s active role in promoting sustainable business practices that contribute to the global movement of going green.

Canadian Manufacturing executives together with Haribon Foundation Partnership Officer Joseph Senga, and environmental advocates Bianca King and Winnie Wong gather for the launch of the Canadian Bamboo Collection and Get a Sheet, Adopt a Tree campaign

‘Get a Sheet, Adopt a Tree’

Another key announcement during the launch is the Get a Sheet, Adopt a Tree campaign that supports Haribon’s Adopt-a-Seedling program. Under the initiative, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Bamboo Cotton Collection funds the said seedling program.

“We believe that it is high time we in Canadian Manufacturing took a more active part in restoring our lost natural resources and promoting environmental sustainability. Our partnership with Haribon Foundation is one of the activities we’ve lined up for the celebration of our 60th anniversary this year. We hope that many Filipinos will #GoNatural and make the switch to a more sustainable lifestyle,” said Canadian manufacturing sales and marketing director Chand Daryanani.

The Canadian Bamboo Cotton Collection is now available in SM Aura Premiere and will soon be available in selected SM stores nationwide.
