Leading online travel service provider Group is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Megaworld Hotels & Resorts (MHR), the largest hotel operator in the Philippines. This collaboration is Group’s first strategic partnership in the Philippines, signifying its commitment to supporting the country’s vibrant tourism industry.

Signed by Ms Pebbles Caramat, Head of Distribution, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, and Mr Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President of International Markets, Group, this strategic partnership will see Group and MHR will collaborate closely on pricing and inventory management across all of MHR’s 13 properties, 7 brands, and more than 8,500 room keys including the ones in the pipeline. This joint effort aims to optimize availability and pricing, ensuring competitive rates and seamless booking experiences for travelers. MHR’s properties will also enjoy enhanced visibility on Group’s platforms, providing users with prioritized access to some of the finest accommodations in the Philippines at the most competitive rates.

Both parties are also set to collaborate on a comprehensive marketing strategy, with Group leveraging its global reach and marketing expertise to promote MHR’s brands, unveil new hotels, and spearhead targeted campaigns to entice global travelers. This commitment to marketing support underscores the shared vision of Group and MHR in attracting a diverse range of global travelers to the Philippines.

This new strategic partnership follows strong growth. In April 2024, Philippines hotel bookings on the Group’s platforms more than doubled (121%), while searches for hotels in the Philippines shot up 188% in the same period.
