Nüwa Spa: The spa of your dreams

What’s your city’s best kept secret? Perhaps, it’s a favorite hang-out or a new speakeasy? How about a restaurant or a pilates place? Maybe, it’s a well-designed park.

Property Report recently visited Nüwa Spa at the City of Dreams and here’s what we found out.

Nüwa Spa is the perfect oasis. It is where one can truly relax and unwind, albeit for just a few hours as professionally trained therapists take you on a deeply relaxing and personalized spa journey.

The first step is to choose which treatment is best for you. Are you so tired and want a deep-tissue massage or do you just want a light, relaxing massage?

After you have chosen your treatment, you can enjoy the amenities before you get a massage.

Nuwa Spa-Vitality Pool

There’s a dry sauna, a steam room, a heated pool for soaking and a nice lounge room to just prepare yourself.

The facilities are clean and polished and you will easily feel relaxed and comfortable.

It’s no wonder that Nüwa Spa earned the first Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Spa in the Philippines. It earned this recognition for four consecutive years from 2020.

After you’ve enjoyed the amenities, your therapist will guide you to one of the opulently designed therapy rooms and spa suites.

Healing elements

As you enjoy the massage, it’s worth knowing the story of Nüwa Spa:

Our treatments draw inspiration from Nüwa, the goddess who created mankind in ancient Chinese mythology. Among many of her great deeds, Nüwa smelted together five colored stones to patch up the azure sky, saving the world from destruction. The myth about the five stones encapsulates the fundamental principle of Chinese medicine that equilibrium can be achieved by honing the power of nature.

Nüwa Spa captures the power of these healing elements and incorporates the soothing power of nature in the spa therapies.

Each spa treatment is designed with nature’s healing framework which takes into consideration one’s constitution, the changing of seasons, the flow of chi, one’s emotions, and more.

The five therapy rooms are composed of two spa suites with a private shower, soft seating, and soaker tub and three spa rooms.

I tried the one-hour Herbal Compress Energizer, which combines Swedish massage and a warm herbal compress to ease muscle tension, purify toxins, and revitalize the mind.

Seven exquisite herbs from different regions of the Philippines are compressed into a ball and glided over the body using the palm and forearm to achieve a deeply relaxing treatment.

Combining all the benefits of thermotherapy, this treatment restores the body’s energy and vitality. I really felt energized after.

One can also complement any massage with other treatments such as a 45-minute Bespoke Body Polish.

Nüwa Spa is really an oasis for one’s tired and exhausted body and soul.

Beyond luxury, one should consider it as an investment for better health — both body and mind.

Here’s a list of Signature Spa Suite Journeys available at Nüwa Spa.
