Chiang Kai Shek College South Forbes: Expanding an 83-year-old legacy

Bringing its prestige and distinct brand of learning excellence outside Metro Manila, Chiang Kai Shek College (CKSC) will open its 11.5-hectare South Forbes campus in Cavite to expand its footprint. As one of the well-established institutions of higher learning and the largest Filipino-Chinese school in the country, it is expected to give students access to education that meets international standards across several fields.

CKSC 2020 to 2022 president Atty. Danny Chan says, “The trademark of CKSC is to balance studies with extracurricular activities. It will not be all rote learning but [will also provide] opportunities for character development”.

As one of the universities known to produce some of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs such as CEO of LT Group Lucio Tan, Founder of SM Investments Henry Sy Sr., Founder of Jollibee Foods Corporation Tony Tan Caktiong, and Chairman of Liwayway Group Carlos Chan, students will enjoy a wide range of reputable professional development programs and opportunities and receive a well-rounded education in business fundamentals, global business, and social impact.

Montessori Method

The school will cater to preschool up to Grade 12 students and practice the Montessori approach. The Montessori Method is a student-led method that puts the student’s individual pace of development into consideration. The result is a multi-sensory, multi-age student community that produces independent, creative, and responsible individuals. It will also be committed to International Baccalaureate (IB) programs offering both English and Chinese language training. In addition, it will add two non-IB classes for Chinese Culture and Chinese Math. This design will enable CKSC students to seamlessly integrate with other international Chinese schools and hit the ground running in cutting-edge careers here and abroad.

As a campus, CKSC offers the best facilities for learning. The school’s master plan includes a multi-purpose complex that will house an indoor basketball gym, track and field oval, football field, and a dormitory. It will also feature an abundance of open and green spaces to support a well-balanced learning environment for students.

Cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit

With Cathay Land’s introduction of Crestkey Estates, the developer provides the ideal setting where people can live, work, play, and learn in one place. It brings into the fold a full range of facilities to nurture business growth and achieve long-term sustainability. And as it continues to spearhead the progress of Metro South, its developments are poised to become an exciting district, providing both the campus and its neighboring residential communities a one-of-a-kind living experience.

“We believe the development of Crestkey Estates has the potential to be transformative for Cavite. We are confident that it will fulfill many of the goals that the province has been looking to achieve for a very long time. We hope it will serve as a place where the best minds of today and the entrepreneurs of tomorrow can come together,” said Jeffrey Ng, President of Cathay Land.

The new campus is targeted to become operational by 2023.
