The Philippine economy grew by 8.3 percent in the first quarter of 2022—a reversal of the 3.8 percent contraction recorded a year earlier.
Analysts with the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards believe that this level of economic output sets the stage for accelerated GDP growth beyond 2022.
Richard Raymundo, managing director of Colliers Philippines and a member of the independent judging panel of the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards said the Philippine property industry has started to recover.
“While challenges remain, particularly rising inflation and interest rates, the Philippine property industry appears to have started to recover,” Raymundo said.
