ETON: BPOs poised for big comeback

Eton Properties office developments remain to be top office locations for Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) companies.

The Lucio Tan-owned property developer secured a five-year office leasing contract in Centris Cyberpod Five, located in the BPO-IT lifestyle hub, Eton Centris along EDSA, Quezon City, with one of its existing BPO office tenants situated in the same complex.

Eton Properties COO Karlu Tan said this expansion is a good indicator that BPOs are poised for a big comeback in the forthcoming year.

“With this, we are expecting office leases to gain momentum as more and more businesses make the big decision to go back to an office set-up. We also suppose that other real estate segments like commercial and retail leasing will start to pick up speed.”

Eton Properties executive vice president Charlie Carlos said the continuing nationwide efforts to vaccinate the population largely contributes to the renewed confidence of the business community.

“We, at Eton, are grateful that these global companies first turn to us with the initial signs of economic recovery. Rest assured that a safe and healthy environment is waiting for them when they choose to locate with us,” Carlos said.

A total area of 2,300 square meters or an entire floor in Centris Cyberpod Five is leased by one of the top BPO companies in the country. The building has 24 floors with a total of 42,000 square meters of office space. It is one of the last available PEZA-registered buildings in Metro Manila.

Apart from this office leasing deal, Offices by Eton, Eton Properties’ office leasing business unit, is also currently in discussions with multiple BPO companies that are eyeing Centris Cyberpod Five in Eton Centris to be their new office address. With its strategic location and accessibility to transport hubs, Centris Cyberpod Five ensures an ideal office location both for companies and its employees.
