IEE celebrates 50th anniversary

Ambassador-designate of Japan to the Philippines Koji Haneda

Golden anniversaries symbolize the enduring quality and value of a company. The International Elevator and Equipment, Inc. (IEE) celebrated its 50th founding anniversary with the theme “50 Years of Creating Long-Standing Value,” as partners and employees proudly acknowledged this mantra and commitment as a guide towards the future.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) president and CEO Takeshi Sugiyama, MELCO senior vice president and group president of Building Systems Group Yasuyuki Ito, MELCO executive officer and group president of Living Environment and Digital Media Equipment Tadashi Matsumoto, Mitsubishi Electric Building Techno-Service Co., Ltd. (MELTEC) president Masami Yoshikawa, Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) senior vice president and division COO Terutora Urano, were some of the key representatives from Japan who joined IEE chairman and Mitsubishi Corporation Manila general manager Keiichi Matsunaga, IEE president Ramoncito Ocampo and IEE vice president Melecio Vicencio and other IEE executives and employees in recognition of this milestone through a dinner party held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

After the welcome speech and celebratory toast, the formal event was punctuated with the distribution of service awards to those who have helped contribute long-standing value to IEE for over two decades. A total of 11 employees received recognition for rendering 10, 15, and up to 25 years of service with the company— proving that IEE places a high premium on its human capital investment as it does in the quality of its products. And with a new office building and training facility inaugurated earlier in the day, IEE aims to continue to train its employees to become more adept on the proper sales, installation, and maintenance of Mitsubishi Electric equipment.

Founded in 1969, the IEE has been a trusted local partner of Mitsubishi Electric, and a reliable provider of high-end engineering and industrial products and services. They primarily handle the servicing of Mitsubishi Electric elevators, escalators, air conditioning and refrigeration units, and factory automation machinery around the Philippines.

Executives and partners from IEE, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsubishi Electric Building Techno Service Co., Ltd. took a photo beside IEE’s Ramoncito Ocampo and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s Takeshi Sugiyama at the dinner party celebrating 50 years of successful partnership.

IEE’s new office building houses a state-of-the-art product showroom displaying its elevators, air conditioning units, generators, and other high-end equipment.
