New works in harmony 2

Julius Legaspi and his students from his workshops mount their second group exhibit featuring new works in pastel, acrylic and watercolor. The exhibit features 52 artworks created by 26 amateur and upcoming professional artists who were mentored by pastel artist Julius Legaspi under his JLegaspi Workshops. They were joined by guest artist Alvin Montano and the teacher himself, Mr. Legaspi, as demonstration of their support.

The exhibit is an open theme exhibit, which gave the artists freedom to explore subjects of their own preference. The artworks evoke the Romantic attitude of the students during the time of art-making. Seascapes, flowers and still lifes, forests and trees, and religious icons fill the exhibit with all artworks brimming with quiet energies and colors.

The exhibit opened on January 26 with guest artist Alvin Montano and teacher Julius Legaspi giving message of support and encouragement to the budding artists, while the students gave their sentiments on the opportunity to create and exhibit. The key theme of the opening reception and the exhibit is inspiration, as it was the thing that pushed the artists to do their best works to date.

The exhibiting artists are Aizza Joy Mapanao-Allid, Annie Eugenio, Arrah Joy Lagman, Brian Alegre, Cats del Valle, Cynthia Joy Maxino-Uy, M.D., Danilo Madrazo, M.D., Erika Quintero, Gigi Manalastas, Irene Sy, Iris Babao-Uy, Luisa Bayot, Isagano Cruz, M.D., Janine Aniko, Jhanine Almazora, Jherwen Mermonde, Ma.
