FB community Home Buddies boosts local businesses

One of the most popular Philippine-based Facebook communities in recent memory is Home Buddies, which quickly grew to three million members during the pandemic and has become a go-to site for homemakers and homebuilders looking for helpful ideas and budol-finds, as well as genuine feedback on products and stores. The Home Buddies kapitbahays’ positive feedback on affordable and accessible products catapulted a few local businesses to fast success, including Adelina Home PH, Two:am candle co., and Maria Crafts MNL.

Adelina Home PH offers products like lamps, planters, and baby bassinets—all of them proudly made by Filipino artisans. Their unique pieces are made from rattan, pandan, and other locally-sourced materials. The shop has been featured in Home Buddies bazaars and is among the favorite recommendations on the Home Buddies Facebook page. Check out their page at adelinahome.ph for deals and promos, or visit their physical shop at Congressional Ave., Salitran, Dasmariñas, Cavite from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Two:am candle co. Scented candles became popular during the pandemic, especially among those looking for an alternative to essential oils and humidifiers. Two:am candle co. is a small local business that began during the pandemic. The Home Buddies community helped their shop grow as some of their loyal customers found them through the group. The popular Facebook community doesn’t just inspire homemakers, it also encourages and supports small business owners as they develop their unique crafts for both the local and international markets. Check out Two:am candle co.’s collection here.

Maria Crafts MNL makes wooden ornaments or decorations with custom carved designs, which makes a perfect gift for loved ones. Having opened just last September, it carries the perfect addition to any home to complete the desired design aesthetic. Maria Crafts MNL also accepts commissioned projects for customized decorative wood pieces. To find out more about their offerings, visit the Maria Crafts MNL page.
