Rise and Shine With The Rockwell Breakfast Club

It’s a shame that breakfast is the most skipped meal of the day because some of the best dishes in Rockwell Center are served as early as at the crack of dawn. Want to know what you’re missing out on? We’ve mapped out places that’ll make you want to skip the snooze button, go on a food crawl, and stuff yourself silly — even if you aren’t a breakfast person.

Power Plant Mall

Barcino
Desayuno is served at 7:00am to 1:00pm
Reservations are highly recommended for the 8:00am to 10:00am slots

A step inside Barcino’s Desayuno transports you to a garden on a rosy morning, with family or friends gathered around the table sharing stories over hearty Spanish-style breakfast. Who would have thought this nest for night owls would also be a haven for early birds looking to start their day right!

Paul
Opens at 7:00am

Nothing beats the scent of freshly baked croissants in the morning. Or if bread for breakfast isn’t your jam, you can trust this 130-year-old boulangerie and patisserie to have a massive menu. While it can be overwhelming for anyone who has yet to find their bearings, their omelettes are another good place to start.

Starbucks Reserve
Opens at 7:00am

The aesthetic of the branch lends itself well to early morning meetings and study sessions, where you can settle in to get your regular coffee fix and grab a quick bite. But on days you need a stronger dose or extra special shot of caffeine, head straight for the Reserve Bar and ask a master barista to take your coffee experience to the next level.

harlan+holden Rockwell Glasshouse
Breakfast served at 7:30am to 10:30am

Wake up to breakfast in a glasshouse cafe that looks straight out of a dream. Everything about this place–its floor to ceiling glass windows, fuss-free menu of healthy dishes, and chic interiors–will make you want to go from pajamas to pancakes in no time!

One Rockwell

Starbucks
Opens at 6:00am

An old reliable for breakfast-on-the-go, Starbucks Philippines has expanded its food menu to include oats, yogurt, pancakes, bagels, and really filling breakfast sandwiches. The best part is they’re available all day.

UCC Cafe Terrace
Opens at 7:00am

If, without coffee, you consider yourself anti-social, this hidden nook with an extensive coffee selection is a safe haven. Take comfort in a quiet, secluded corner, and order anything from eggs benedict, Filipino rice meals, or Hokkaido French Toast.

Grace Park
Breakfast served 7:00 am to 11:00 am, Friday to Sunday

On weekdays, Grace Park opens its doors for lunch. But on weekends, they give us an early start to enjoy farm-to-table Italian fare. Order their Naked Chorizo or Grilled Cheese Sandwich, have it al fresco or the indoor dining area that catches the right amount of morning light.

8 Rockwell

Wildflour Cafe
Opens at 5:00am

While it’s tempting to go straight for the pastries that welcome you at the entrance, Wildflour has savory options that are just as warm and welcoming. Think Mushroom and Asparagus Omelette or Salmon Tartine. Be sure to get there early because this nicely sun-lit nook on the ground floor of 8 Rockwell is quite the popular breakfast spot.

Eight Coffee Bar by UCC
Opens at 7:00am

UCC’s take on a third-wave cafe is the perfect spot to have a working breakfast at a leisurely pace. Meet clients and close deals over coffee brewed using different methods, which go well with dishes that will have leave you satisfied until lunchtime.

Joya Lofts and Towers

Refinery
Opens at 7:00am

Regulars love Refinery for wine and cocktails. If you need new reasons to frequent the place, their piping hot siphon coffee and big breakfast dishes just might do the trick. So for those transitioning from night owl to early bird, The Morning After (grilled bacon slab with bibingka soufflé topped with caramel syrup, parmesan and whipped butter, salted egg anglaise, breakfast potatoes, and sunny side up) is the perfect introduction to their breakfast menu.

Pancake House
Opens at 7:00am

Who doesn’t love breakfast at Pancake House? It’s consistently good and, to some extent, nostalgia-inducing. We all have our own favorites at this popular breakfast joint, but you’ll be glad to know that they occasionally serve some drinks and treats exclusive to the Rockwell Center branch. Visit them to find out.

Edades Tower and Garden Villas

Dean & DeLuca
Opens at 8:00am

When the first Dean & DeLuca opened in Rockwell Center, fans of the New York institution were ecstatic. Almost five years later, their grain bowls, waffles, pancakes, and indulgent selection of smoothies, milkshakes, and drinks have become breakfast staples for Rockwell folk.

Single Origin
Opens at 7:00am

Some like savory breakfasts, others start their day with dessert. If belong to the latter group, you’ll love these huge cubes of french toast from Single Origin. They’re deceptively light, and the salted caramel sauce is a nice surprise. We still, however, recommend that you share this with a friend over a cup of flat white or other specialty coffee.

Craving breakfast food yet? Start your day on a high note and be part of the #RockwellBreakfastClub. See you around, bright and early!
