The Philippines’ flag carrier is aiming to make travel planning easier for their passengers with a new booking platform that combines flights, hotels, transportation, and experiences all in one site.
Philippine Air Lines (PAL) recently launched PAL Holidays powered by Expedia Group which offers travelers a comprehensive platform for travel needs. The site, which makes use of Expedia Group’s White Label Template technology, is now live in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines.
PAL Holidays gives travelers access to over 900,000 properties across the globe, through the partnership with the reputable global travel platform, Expedia Group. Accommodations range from budget-friendly options to luxurious resorts to meet every traveler’s preference and budget.
The PAL Holidays site also allows travelers to access a wide array of services in one transaction, including PAL flights, hotel accommodations, transportation through car rentals, and travel activities.
To address the needs of revenge travelers, promo deals, discounts, exclusive offers, and curated packages will be offered to site users, according to the carrier.
Services listed under the site include the “PAL Holidays Package”, which includes booking flights and a combination of other products such as stays or hotels, things to do or experiences, and cars for transport.
Meanwhile, stand-alone products involve a single booking or a combination of bookings for stays, things to do, and/or cars but without any flight. The site also offers a virtual assistant available 24 hours a day to help with travel plans.
To kick off the site’s launch, PAL is offering hotel deals under $99 or P4,999 per night to top destinations serviced by the flag carrier around the country as well as international destinations.
Holidays may be booked in the preferred currency of the countries the site is operating in, including Philippine Pesos, US Dollars, Australian Dollars, and Canadian Dollars.
PAL believes that Expedia Group’s long-standing reputation as a reliable travel platform will deliver exceptional service and value for its passengers.
The American travel technology company is known for operating travel fare aggregators and travel metasearch engines, including Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Vrbo, Travelocity, Hotwire.com, Orbitz, Ebookers, CheapTickets, CarRentals.com, Expedia Cruises, Wotif, and Trivago.
“By partnering with Expedia, we are confident that our customers will enjoy unparalleled access to a superior range of great offers for hotels, experiences, and transport that can go together with the Philippine Airlines flights that they book,” said Bud Britanico, VP for Sales at Philippine Airlines.
For their part, the Expedia Group shares the same vision of PAL to transform the way travelers plan and book trips in the digital era.
“With our combined expertise and service, we are excited to offer a seamless travel platform that will be of great help to travelers,” said Greg Schulze, Senior Vice President, Strategic Travel Partners at Expedia Group.
Philippine Airlines currently operates scheduled nonstop flights out of hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to 33 destinations in the Philippines and 39 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East. The full-service network airline supports the travel needs of overseas Filipinos, businesspeople, tourists, and families from all over the world.
