Poggenpohl launches flagship showroom

Last Nov. 19, luxury home furnishing leader Kuysen Enterprises launched their Poggenpohl flagship store at the Eton Residences in Makati City. The showroom offers full service kitchen design and installation, making it easier for homeowners to achieve their dream kitchens.

Poggenpohl is the oldest and most renowned kitchen brand in the world. With 125 years already under its belt, the German-born brand was founded in 1892 by Friedemir Poggenpohl, whose goal was to improve the kitchen by benchmarking the people, their needs, social change, and by looking towards the future.

Every Poggenpohl kitchen offers technical expertise, materials of the highest quality, craftsmanship, and trend-setting design including the introduction of the kitchen island, ergonomic storage systems, high-quality finishes, and other details that enhance daily life in the kitchen.

“We don’t just think kitchens, we design spaces for people. Poggenpohl spaces are like no other, because Poggenpohl first understands how people live in order to then individually design the most personalized spaces. Compatible with every lifestyle,” reads the brand philosophy.

This was further explained by Poggenpohl export sales director Bas Mol, “It is very important to understand that we do not just think about the kitchens, we think about the space. We think about filling up the space within the family. Before, the kitchen was just a place to cook, but now the kitchen is a place to live and share our most intimate moments with the whole family… So you might as well make it as nice as possible and adjust it to your personal needs.”

“Every kitchen has its own story… Every kitchen is unique. Every kitchen is tailor made for the respective customer,” he adds.

Poggenpohl’s signature kitchen designs include +Venovo, +Modo, Segmento, and Segmento Y.

+Modo

The +Venovo collection provides a flexible solution for homeowners who like to keep kitchen items inside the drawers. This design is works well for those who love the open kitchen concept and whose homes have limited space. It comes in matte white, cerium gray, and in a chrome-plated finish.

The +Modo, on the other hand, provides a venue to either hide or display the homeowner’s favorite objects through its two levels. The worktop is designed as a meeting point for family bonding. It also has extendable trays and drawers for maximum storage capacity.

Segmento is minimalist in design but doesn’t compromise in function. The appliances are integrated into the sides of the cabinets, making the flow of creativity undisturbed. The Segmento Y is a reinterpretation of the Segmento collection, and is targeted towards the younger market for its sleek and contemporary lines.

To target the male demographic, Poggenpohl partnered with Porsche for a kitchen that has a more masculine feel. The P’7340 has aluminum frames for accents and is powered by Touch Control that lets you open drawers with just a touch of a finger, no handles required. Another feature of this collection is its soft-close mechanism. The P’7350 is the newest collection, showcasing a more streamlined and geometric design. It is set to arrive in the Makati showroom soon.

When asked about his thoughts about expanding to the Philippines, Mol had this to say, “We see a lot of growth opportunities here in Manila.”

As the exclusive distributor of the Poggenpohl brand in the Philippines, Kuysen makes for the perfect partner because it is committed to inspiring creativity and delivering solutions without compromising the integrity of their client’s vision.
