Okada Manila recently announced the appointment of Cielo Ortega-Reboredo as Vice President of the hotel’s newest division – Sales & Marketing, Hospitality and Entertainment. The new division handles a diversified portfolio from its current event venue roster such as the ballrooms and meeting rooms to the newest hotel venue offerings, namely the newly-opened The Garden, Crystal Corridor’s expanse of open spaces, Cove Manila, and yacht, as well as the hotel’s private jet service.
Reboredo is a seasoned hotelier with over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. She started her career with Front Office in Manila Midtown Hotel followed by Makati Shangri-La. In 2000, she moved to Sofitel Philippine Plaza where she found her true calling in Events Sales and Marketing. Later in 2011, she joined the pre-opening team of Midas Hotel and Casino as Director of Sales and Marketing covering rooms, events, public relations and branding, as well as hotel and casino marketing. After five years (2016), she moved to Okada Manila, also another pre-opening property as Director of Sales – Events and Marketing. Three years into her job, Okada Manila’s top management spearheaded by its President Takashi Oya recognized Reboredo’s strong leadership skills, wide network and stellar accomplishments; and set up the new division under her wing, catering to clients’ evolving needs with its diversified events venue portfolio.
In her new role as Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Hospitality and Entertainment, Reboredo is responsible for leading her dynamic team of experienced events professionals and developing innovative programs that would cater to existing and new clients, further expanding its clientele base and maximizing events and banquet revenues.
