For one weekend this May, the vibrant streets of Makati will take on a distinctly French flair. From May 24 to 25, Goût de France returns to the Makati Street Meet along Paseo de Roxas, promising an immersive culinary and cultural experience reminiscent of a summer stroll through a Parisian marché.
Organized by Ayala Land in collaboration with Taste of France and the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia—with the special participation of Enderun Colleges École Ducasse and Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo de Manila—this annual celebration is a tribute to the timeless charm of French gastronomy and culture.
Visitors can look forward to an open-air French market featuring an exceptional lineup of chefs, restaurateurs, artisans, and distributors. From delicate cannelés to hearty galettes and flowing French wines, the event invites everyone to indulge in classic and contemporary French fare under the shade of Makati’s iconic canopy trees.

Among the highlights of the festival is a free cooking demonstration by Chef Marc Chalopin of Enderun Colleges on Saturday, May 24. As the sun sets, DJ JB Bolaños takes over the soundscape with a dynamic set that fuses global beats with local energy—setting the stage for an evening of culinary exploration and conviviality.
On Sunday, May 25, the festivities continue with the Course des garçons de café, or Waiter’s Race—a spirited tradition in which café servers race to deliver a full bottle of Evian without spilling a drop. The fun begins at 3:00 PM, following a ceremonial toast led by the French Ambassador, together with restaurateurs and culinary partners, accompanied by a tasting reception courtesy of Le Cordon Bleu.
The weekend’s lineup of vendors reads like a gastronomic love letter to France. Participating names include Society Lounge, Lemmy’s Bistro, Le Flan Manila, Crepe Glazik, La Petite Cuisine de Coralie, Oui Tacos, Perfect Cellars, Crazy Carabao, and dozens more purveyors of authentic French flavors—from oysters and gelato to wines, spirits, and patisserie staples. (See full list of merchants in Annex 1.)
Beyond the market, Goût de France extends its celebration through a nationwide French restaurant week. From bistros in Poblacion to fine dining favorites in BGC and Cebu, participating establishments will offer curated French menus to delight diners well beyond the festival weekend. Among them are Champagne Room at The Manila Hotel, Chef Jessie Rockwell, Dr. Wine, L’Entrecôte, Mirèio, and more. (See Annex 2 for full list.)
