MVP-led Landco Pacific Corporation is advancing its push for sustainability through a partnership with ACEN, the Ayala Group’s listed energy platform, to supply renewable power to its coastal development in Batangas.
Under the agreement, CaSoBe (Calatagan South Beach)—the flagship estate of Landco Lifestyle Ventures—will now run entirely on renewable energy. The move positions the seaside property as a model for environmentally conscious tourism and leisure-oriented development.
“Sustainability is deeply ingrained in Landco’s DNA. We pursue it not because it’s required, but because it’s the right thing to do. This transition to 100 percent renewable energy is a significant step for CaSoBe and aligns perfectly with our commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Erickson Y. Manzano, President and CEO of Landco Pacific Corporation and Landco Lifestyle Ventures.
“By partnering with ACEN, we are not only ensuring a greener operation for our resort but also offering our guests a truly sustainable and responsible leisure experience,” Manzano further shared.
A partnership for a greener tomorrow

Renewable energy for the estate will be supplied by ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions, supporting ACEN’s broader goals of achieving 100 percent renewable energy generation and reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Businesses powered through the program carry the “Powered by Renewable Energy” badge, which CaSoBe now adopts as part of its sustainability commitment.
The arrangement was facilitated through the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Option Program, which allows qualified electricity consumers to directly source power from renewable suppliers. The initiative is intended to encourage businesses to shift toward cleaner energy sources.
According to the latest Competitive Retail Electricity Market report from the Energy Regulatory Commission, ACEN RES currently holds a 57 percent market share under the program.
The legacy of purposeful living
Landco Pacific has positioned its BeachTowns developments as investment destinations that combine lifestyle with environmental awareness. At CaSoBe, residential and commercial lots are integrated into a leisure-oriented setting that caters to both tourism and long-term property ownership.
“Owning a Landco BeachTown property is more than an investment; it’s a legacy,” Manzano said. “With our strong commitment to sustainability, it’s something you can enjoy today and pass on to future generations, ensuring both well-being and environmental harmony for years to come.”
The estate offers mixed-use residential and commercial lots, allowing investors to build beach homes, bed-and-breakfast accommodations, or tourism-oriented businesses.
Quiet luxury by the coast
Located about three hours from Metro Manila, the 15-hectare CaSoBe estate integrates leisure facilities, hospitality offerings, and residential spaces within a master-planned coastal setting.
The development has pursued sustainability certifications, including registration under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and EDGE certification for selected accommodations. Among them are the Crusoe Cabins, designed with eco-friendly features, and The Nautilus, a beachfront condotel that has obtained EDGE Advanced certification.
Design elements throughout the estate incorporate permeable walkways, cycling lanes, water recycling systems, and energy-efficient lighting, alongside public art installations that highlight marine life.
Beyond its physical features, CaSoBe also works with nearby communities through initiatives such as scholarship programs with Batangas State University and environmental activities, including mangrove planting and turtle hatchling releases. About 70 percent of the workforce of Landco Lifestyle Ventures is drawn from the surrounding areas.
Curated stays and seaside experiences
CaSoBe combines residential offerings with tourism-driven accommodations, ranging from the eco-conscious Crusoe Cabins to the futuristic Apollo Aeropods and dome-shaped Cupola units. Other distinctive structures within the estate include the CaSoBe Lighthouse and the Chairman’s Cabin, the weekend residence of Manny V. Pangilinan.
At the heart of the development is The Nautilus, a beachfront condotel inspired by the fictional submarine in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. The project features 171 residential units and five commercial spaces designed for seaside living, with panoramic views of the bay and energy-efficient design elements.
Leisure amenities within the estate include the Canopy events space, restaurants such as Sands and Captain Barbozza, and the Aquaria Water Park, alongside recreational options such as biking, beach activities, and island hopping.
With its blend of resort living, residential investment, and sustainability initiatives, CaSoBe reflects Landco’s effort to position coastal developments as both lifestyle destinations and environmentally responsible communities.
