Megawide Construction Corporation hosted the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development’s (DHSUD) 7th anniversary at its mega-precast facility in Taytay, Rizal on 16 February 2026. The event was attended by President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos, Jr., DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling, Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene C. Acosta, other housing agencies, and beneficiaries of the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.
The collaboration between DHSUD and Megawide, supported by Pag-IBIG Fund, combines policy reform, engineering modernization, and financial innovation to accelerate the construction of affordable, quality housing under the Expanded 4PH. Megawide and Pag-IBIG Fund are set to deliver over 7,000 units in Dasmariñas, Cavite over the next two years.

“The creation of the new Expanded 4PH Program by DHSUD and with Pag-IBIG Fund will change the perception of how we view our socialized housing… we are implementing a World-Class prefabricated system, comparable to any of the First-World country, like in Germany or Japan, as you can see on this facility,” Megawide Chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra said. He added that the program allows Filipino homebuyers access to decent, affordable houses with financing options through Pag-IBIG.
Megawide aims to build 100,000 housing units over the next five years, expanding facilities to support this goal. Saavedra noted that about half of these units will be launched within three years. Pag-IBIG Fund also encouraged other developers to participate, offering incentives for projects near employment and economic centers.
“For the past 27 years, we have always been one with this objective… ngayon na nabiyayaan na tayo ng pagkakataon na ibahagi ang ating precast technology sa construction industry ng bansa at maging katuwang ng gobyerno ay tuloy na tuloy na nating maihahatid ang ‘happiness’ para sa bawat Pilipino,” Saavedra said.
Megawide sees precast technology as a game changer beyond housing, capable of addressing gaps in classrooms, transport terminals, and other infrastructure across the country.
