At the 2025 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok, Philippine developers secured 10 Best in Asia titles, highlighting the country’s growing strength across key real estate sectors. Robinsons Land led the Philippine wins, earning multiple regional honors alongside Robinsons Hotels and Resorts. Property Report spoke with Robinsons Land President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio to gain her perspective on what these recognitions signal for the future of Philippine real estate.
For Robinsons Land Corporation, securing multiple Best in Asia awards affirms its position as what Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio calls “a truly Filipino champion on the global platform.” The breadth of wins across residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and workspace categories signals that RLC’s approach to development has achieved regional relevance. “It signals that our innovations, quality, and vision, which are recognized at home, resonate as well across Asia,” she said, adding that these honors are also “elevating the Philippines as a leading player in real estate.”
Aragon-GoBio stressed that the recognitions are not isolated achievements, but reflections of a consistent philosophy applied across RLC’s entire portfolio. “Our honors span the full RLC portfolio, from hospitality and retail to workspace and residence,” she explained. This, she said, “underscores how we embed design excellence, sustainability, and authentic customer experience in every offering,” ensuring that each development, regardless of asset class, meets the same standards of quality and relevance.
Looking ahead to 2026, Aragon-GoBio outlined a clear and ambitious direction anchored on RLC’s Vision 5-25-50 strategy. She emphasized that the company’s priorities are about scale with discipline: “RLC’s 2026 priorities are anchored on five strategic levers that bring its Vision 5-25-50 to life, shaping better living and working environments nationwide.” These include expanding investments in high-growth areas, accelerating capital deployment, and significantly growing mall GLA, office space, hotel room keys, and logistics capacity by 2030. She also highlighted the importance of asset monetization, noting that through RL Commercial REIT, RLC can “unlock capital… replenishing infused assets and creating greater shareholder value.”
Innovation, she said, is guided by regional benchmarks and global best practices. “RLC embeds regional best practices throughout every project stage by pursuing international certifications such as LEED, EDGE, and WELL,” she shared, adding that collaboration with Asian design and sustainability experts allows the company to adapt global ideas to “local climates, cultures, and materials” while remaining competitive internationally.
Ultimately, Aragon-GoBio framed the awards as both recognition and responsibility. “Being recognized among Asia’s elite real estate developers sharpens our sense of duty,” she said. “It challenges us to keep raising the standard of what Philippine developers can achieve,” reminding the organization that leadership is defined not just by scale, but by “the responsibility and sustainability with which we shape communities.” For RLC, she emphasized, success must always leave something lasting behind—“jobs, preserved heritage, and opportunities that lift more Filipinos into a better future.”
