You know Christmas is near when the breeze shifts—cooler, crisper, carrying that familiar sense of excitement. In Tagaytay, that feeling arrives early, and this year, Property Report experienced it firsthand at Crosswinds as the estate welcomed the season with its annual Trail of Lights celebration.
Villar Group Chairman Manny Villar led the ceremonial lighting at the Lausanne Open Grounds, joined by Paulo Plaza, Crosswinds Division Head; Romeo Sabater, Brittany Group Head; and Mary Lee S. Sadiasa, Vista Land Chief Operating Officer. With a single switch, thousands of lights illuminated the estate’s pine trees and pathways, officially opening one of the South’s most anticipated holiday attractions.

The celebration transformed the 124-hectare Swiss-inspired community into a bright, festive landscape. Holiday installations, glowing arches, and colorful walkways added to the Christmas atmosphere—instantly putting everyone in a cheerful, unhurried mood.

As the estate began the festivities, people started to arrive—families, homeowners, and guests easing into the glow of the night. Then came the food, and it felt instantly like Christmas. Warm bibingka, puto bumbong, kakanin, taho, and s’mores for the kids made up a simple but crowd-pleasing holiday spread.

When the fireworks burst across the Tagaytay sky, the celebration reached its peak. Bubbles and snow-blast moments floated through the air, creating a playful “winter” effect that delighted the crowd and made the evening feel extra special.

As the fireworks faded, the energy continued. Families took photos beneath glowing installations, while the live choir, musical performances, and kid-friendly activities kept the atmosphere lively. Children ran to the front—dancing, jumping, and joining the fun as the performers filled the estate with holiday music.
With its cool breeze, pine-filled landscape, and signature lights, Crosswinds once again delivered a Christmas celebration that felt warm, inviting, and uniquely Tagaytay. The Trail of Lights reaffirmed its commitment to creating memorable holiday experiences—offering visitors a festive escape where the spirit of Christmas shines bright across its scenic hillside.
