American Standard, a LIXIL global power brand, has opened the call for entries for the fourth edition of the American Standard Design Award (ASDA) 2026, inviting young designers across Asia-Pacific to reimagine the bathroom as a space for living, connecting, and finding meaning in everyday routines.
The competition coincides with the brand’s 150th anniversary, a milestone underscoring its long-standing legacy of purposeful design and innovation. With the theme “Inspiring Everyday Living,” ASDA 2026 challenges students to create residential bathroom concepts that respond to evolving lifestyles, where even the most compact spaces serve as settings for comfort, bonding, and reflection.

“Celebrating 150 years of purposeful innovation inspired by life at American Standard, we are proud to launch the fourth edition of the ASDA Bathroom Design Competition. With a legacy built on inviting and dependable design with pioneering technology, the brand continues to champion solutions that enrich daily life. This year’s theme, ‘Inspiring Everyday Living,’ invites aspiring designers to reflect on how the bathroom can address our evolving needs and become a meaningful extension of how we live, connect and feel,” said Antoine Besseyre des Horts, Leader, LIXIL Global Design, Asia.

ASDA has steadily grown into a leading platform for emerging talent in the region. Last year’s competition drew nearly 3,500 registrations and more than 1,000 submissions from nine countries. For 2026, the program is open to full-time undergraduate students in architecture or interior design from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Entries may be submitted until January 4, 2026, with national winners to be announced in April. These winners will move on to the regional stage to compete for the APAC Grand Prize in May.

National winners stand to receive cash prizes ranging from USD 1,000 to USD 2,000, while the APAC Grand Prize winner will take home an additional USD 3,000 and gain the opportunity to join a Masterclass with LIXIL Design Leaders.
