A new chapter begins: Rebuilding dreams in Baliuag

Challenges are key to achieving success — constantly testing our determination and shaping the path toward growth.

Individually, we face many challenges in our lives, and the same applies to business. As one of the leaders in a retail company, we have encountered numerous trials along the journey we have chosen. We stayed on the course. But with each hurdle, I have learned that true resilience isn’t merely about surviving difficult times—it’s about rising from the situation stronger, refocusing and rebuilding with intention, and continuing forward with a renewed sense of purpose.

Reimagining what service and quality should look like to its customers, Wilcon Depot once again successfully opens its depot-format store to serve the Filipino communities in Baliuag, Bulacan. The branch opened with renewed strength on June 27, offering a wide selection of trusted home improvement solutions and meeting the construction needs of Bulaceños. The resounding success of the grand opening were spearheaded by (L-R) Limson Marketing Founding Chairman James Lim, President and CEO Carl Lim, Mariwasa VP for Sales & Marketing Thanit Chainartvorakul, Kent Floors President and CEO Jerry Tiu, Simbulan Industries Phils. Inc. President Rene Simbulan, Wilcon Depot President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cinchocan, Baliuag, Bulacan City Mayor Hon. Sonia Estrella, City Vice Mayor Hon. Ferdie Estrella, Wilcon Depot SEVP and COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, Bulacan, 2nd District Congresswoman Hon. Augustina “Tina” Pancho, PCCI Vice President for Regional affairs and Membership Maria Alegria “Bing” Sibal-Limjoco, Matimco President and CEO Charlie Liu, HCG Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing David Chang, Wilcon Depot AVP for Sales and Operations Harvy Cruz and Brgy. Tarcan, Baliwag, Barangay Captain Hon. Edgardo Pancrudo.

This spirit remained steadfast even during one of our most difficult moments, which was when the fire that struck our Baliuag branch in 2024. In the face of devastation, our teams, working closely with local authorities, acted swiftly and decisively. After assessing the damage and beginning reconstruction, we also did a big reset – focusing our energies on reigniting hope, seeking unity, with unwavering determination.

This June 27, 2025, we proudly open our doors once again to all Bulakeños. This is more than a reopening of the Wilcon Depot Baliuag branch. This is a fresh start, a renewed commitment, and a celebration of resilience and community. The moment that carries both pride and purpose.

The Baliuag branch remains true to Wilcon Depot’s promise of quality, with well-curated product displays and a stronger emphasis on sustainable solutions. Shoppers will find LED lighting, energy-efficient fixtures, and eco-friendly tiles—choices that reflect the company’s broader sustainability goals. From the layout to the lighting, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to enhance the customer experience while aligning with Wilcon’s commitment to innovation and greener living.

The unfortunate incident has paved the way to be even better and given us an opportunity to present our customers more options and a fresh look. Walking through its bright, welcoming aisles, it’s clear that this store is more than just a place to buy building materials. It’s a space where dreams begin to take shape and communities find renewed strength.

Our Baliuag branch now stands as a powerful symbol of recovery, rebuilt stronger, smarter, and more environmentally conscious than ever before. Its reopening serves as a testament to what can be achieved when a purpose-driven team comes together, fueled by community spirit and an unwavering commitment to progress. This spirit of resilience and collaboration is deeply embedded in Wilcon’s identity.

So, let this reopening remind us that every setback sparks a chance to rebuild better, and we are just getting started.

Visit Wilcon Depot Baliuag branch and experience a refreshed space where quality products, innovative solutions, and excellent service come together!
