Central Visayas in the Philippines has so much gratitude and appreciation for architects whose expertise in vertical structures has transformed their skyline into modern, vibrant, and exciting cities to live in.
The architects in Central Visayas, comprising Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete, were feted with recognition by the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) District C1 last June 20, 2025, at the Waterfront Cebu Hotel and Casino during the Philconstruct Visayas 2025 event.
And to commemorate their 50th founding anniversary, the UAP District C1 honored and celebrated 50 outstanding architects from Central Visayas who have impacted the region with their meaningful works of art, architectural buildings, and legacies that have cultivated a culture of significance and awareness in the lives of the populace.
These 50 Distinguished Architects of Central Visayas were recognized for their significant contributions to society through their practice, active participation in their professional organization, and for their spirit of service, leadership, and professional integrity.
The recognition spans five major categories reflective of diverse fields within the profession: Design, Construction, Academe, Management, and Government Service from each of the five decades, from 1975 to 2025, representing the best of each era and category.
The primary criteria for selection included not only professional accomplishments but also sustained involvement in the architects’ initiatives, community engagement, and contributions toward increasing public awareness of the architectural profession.

The organizers, headed by UAP District Director for C1, Arch. Leartes O. Tabotabo, Jr., have named the 50 distinguished Architects of Central Visayas. Awardees include:
