Primeworld Land Holdings Inc. and the Hilton (NYSE: HLT) have officially signed an agreement to introduce the first-ever Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the Philippines. This milestone marks Primeworld Land’s expansion into the hospitality sector, reinforcing its commitment to high-quality developments nationwide.
Set to rise within Primeworld District in Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Cebu, the Hilton Garden Inn will feature 151 elegantly designed rooms, providing business and leisure guests upscale, affordable accommodations and modern amenities. Guests will enjoy an all-day dining restaurant and bar, versatile event spaces of up to 350 square meters, an outdoor swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness center. Strategically located in one of Cebu’s premier destinations, the hotel is poised to meet the growing demand for upscale, affordable hospitality in the region.
The contract signing took place in Makati City, facilitated by SyCip Lawyers. Attending the event were Primeworld Land executives Johnny Uy (Chairman), Sherwin Uy (CEO), Er. Manny Manuel (Engineering Head), and Jane Aguisanda (Comptroller), alongside Maria Ariizumi, Vice President of Development for Southeast Asia at Hilton.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Hilton to bring the esteemed Hilton Garden Inn brand to the Philippines for the first time,” said Sherwin Uy, CEO of Primeworld Land. “This partnership aligns with our vision to diversify beyond residential developments and establish a strong presence in the hospitality industry while upholding our core values of quality, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.”

Primeworld Land, a dynamic and fast-growing real estate developer, has earned a strong reputation for its residential communities and housing projects across the country. While known primarily for affordable and mid-range developments, this venture represents a strategic step toward diversification and long-term growth.
Hilton Group, a global leader in hospitality, continues to expand its presence in key markets worldwide. The introduction of Hilton Garden Inn in the Philippines aligns with Hilton’s strategy to triple its mid-market offerings in South East Asia in the years to come to cater to rising domestic and intra-regional travel.
“Cebu has long been a prime destination for both local and international travelers, and we are excited to introduce the Hilton Garden Inn brand in such a vibrant location,” said Maria Ariizumi, Vice President of Development for South East Asia at Hilton. “Our partnership with Primeworld Land will set new standards in hospitality, delivering comfort, convenience, and world-class service to the heart of Mactan.”
The signing ceremony, attended by key executives from both companies, marks the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at elevating the hospitality landscape in the Philippines. With construction set to commence soon, the Hilton Garden Inn at Primeworld District is expected to open its doors in Q4 2028, further enhancing Cebu’s appeal as a top destination for tourism and business.
