Torre Lorenzo charts bold path in 2025 after landmark 25th anniversary

2024 marked the 25th anniversary of Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC), highlighting over two decades of being a proven leader in innovative design and elevating lifestyles through its premium university residences and world-class hospitality ventures.

There were many reasons to celebrate the company’s history and track record while looking forward to the exciting projects and milestones.

New year, new prospects

After the successful turnover of Torre Lorenzo Loyola’s East Tower, TLDC officially launched its second and third towers in Loyola Heights: West Tower and Gallery at Torre Lorenzo Loyola. Both properties broke ground in June 2024. Meanwhile, Torre Lorenzo Malate has opened The Suites, which are semi-furnished, move-in-ready units for investors and end-users.

Towards the end of 2024, TLDC launched its latest university residence, Vertica by Torre Lorenzo, located at Sampaloc, Manila, in the heart of the University Belt. The project heralds the next generation of Torre Lorenzo projects as the company enters the next 25 years.

Outside of Metro Manila, Torre Lorenzo continues to be bullish on the provinces’ real estate market prospects.

Merano Tower, the second residential tower from the integrated-use Tierra Lipa in Lipa City, Batangas, was topped-off in May 2024. Right beside it, construction is underway for the international hotel Dusit Princess Lipa, to be operated by Dusit International.

Moving down to the south of the Philippines, Torre Lorenzo expanded its integrated-use development, Tierra Davao, with the launch of its newest serviced residence, Crest Suites. The Guest House at Tierra Davao, which houses the showroom of Crown Residences and Crest Suites, as well as a satellite Dusit Gourmet, was also inaugurated.

“Being a boutique developer allows us to explore new ideas, design concepts, and development strategies that have led to innovative and differentiated projects. I’d like to think that we have not just built in the past 25 years, but we have also raised the bar for the industry,” shared TLDC President & CEO Tomas P. Lorenzo, adding, “We have laid the groundwork for the company and allowed it to grow, influenced by time, culture, the environment, technology, and creativity.”

Award-winning excellence

Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC) received the Best Boutique Developer award for the third consecutive year at the 12th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards.  That night, Torre Lorenzo Loyola also won Best Student Condo, and Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort won Best Eco-Friendly Resort.

For three consecutive years, Torre Lorenzo was recognized as one of HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work For in Asia and one of the Most Caring Companies in Asia, highlighting TLDC’s commitment to a work environment where employees thrive and feel valued.

A purposeful anniversary

With the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility thrusts on education, environment, livelihood, and health, Torre Lorenzo engaged in activities that strengthened its commitment to its communities.

TLDC’s employees participated in various Brigada Eskwela activities, with its volunteer employees helping clean, repaint, and equip public schools in Manila and Davao to create a more conducive environment for learners. The company also donated school supplies and furniture to daycare and grade school students.

Torre Lorenzo employees also participated in public coastal cleanups in Manila Bay and Barangay Pindasan in Davao de Oro.

To cap off the year, Torre Lorenzo sponsored a blood donation drive in Davao de Oro, supported PWDs with grocery items, and provided disaster response materials to Barangay Pindasan residents.

The next 25 years

Torre Lorenzo kicks off the next 25 years with exciting activities in 2025.

In 2025, TLDC will focus on continuing the construction of ongoing projects, so that the company can continue to turn over projects on time.  One of the projects slated for turnover this year is Merano Tower at Tierra Lipa in Batangas.

Groundbreaking activities for Crown Residences and Crest Suites at Tierra Davao in Davao City and Vertica by Torre Lorenzo at Sampaloc are slated for this year.

This year, TLDC will also expand its portfolio to a new location – Pampanga. As part of its business strategy to build in next-wave cities, TLDC aims to be part of the economic growth and lifestyles in this high-potential location.

“It’s an exciting time for Torre Lorenzo.  We have really poised ourselves to grow from university residences by expanding to hospitality and going into more locations that are not just centered around students.  That is the next phase of the company and that’s how we’re going to continue evolving and building on what Torre Lorenzo has already built,” says Director of Leisure Development Monica Lorenzo, who leads the next generation of TLDC.

“The next 25 years are about to bring even more change, but Torre Lorenzo will be at the forefront, leading the way and continuing to raise the bar for what is possible in real estate. I cannot wait for what’s next, and I see a very promising future ahead of us,” she continued.
