Alsons Dev inaugurates Sarangani’s first integrated emergency response complex

Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) achieved a significant milestone with the blessing and inauguration of the Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex on January 14, 2025. Situated within Avia Estate, Alsons Dev’s master-planned township in Alabel, Sarangani, this cutting-edge facility is the SOCCSKSARGEN region’s first integrated emergency response center, uniting three essential government services under one roof.

The event marked the official turnover of the facility from Alsons Dev to the municipal government of Alabel. The Alabel LGU will then pass operational responsibilities to the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

The APSSC houses three critical facilities: a Fire Substation, Community Police Assistance Center, and MDRRMO Satellite Emergency Operations Center. This integrated setup mirrors a similar complex in Alsons Dev’s Northtown township in Davao, further highlighting the company’s innovative approach to fostering public safety across its developments.

“The completion of the Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex underscores Alsons Dev’s unwavering commitment to fostering community development and well-being in Mindanao. By investing in essential infrastructure and partnering with local governments, we aim to contribute to a safer and more secure future for Alabel and the greater Sarangani community,” said Miguel Rene A. Dominguez, President and CEO of Alsons Dev.

A Pioneering Hub for Emergency Services

Set to open to the public in the first quarter of 2025, the Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex is a groundbreaking one-stop hub designed to improve response times and coordination among emergency services. This integrated approach significantly enhances the safety and security of Alabel and its neighboring areas.

“This complex is a beacon of hope, safety, and resilience—a testament to the foresight and collaboration of our local leaders. We dedicate this facility to the courageous men and women who tirelessly protect and serve our communities,” said Sarangani Governor Ruel Pacquiao during the inauguration ceremony.

The complex includes:

  • Fire Substation equipped with modern firefighting tools to effectively address fire emergencies.
  • Community Police Assistance Center, providing a secure and accessible space for police operations.
  • An MDRRMO Satellite Emergency Operations Center, which will serve as a hub for disaster response coordination, including monitoring, communication, and resource allocation.

A Legacy of Collaboration and Community Impact

The Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex builds on the successful model of Alsons Dev’s first integrated emergency response complex in Davao City, the first of its kind in the Philippines.

“Once officially turned over to the Municipality of Alabel, this facility will be fully utilized to serve the community, ensuring lasting benefits for our residents. We deeply appreciate the invaluable support of Alsons Dev, the Alcantara Group, and its subsidiaries. Their commitment to Alabel has been instrumental in realizing this vital project,” said Mayor Vic Paul M. Salarda, MPA.

This development reaffirms Alsons Dev’s role as a trailblazer in regional growth and public safety infrastructure. By addressing the evolving needs of communities, Alsons Dev continues to solidify its reputation as a trusted partner in building a brighter future for Mindanao.
