The beginning of a new year brings with it a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation. There’s always that flutter of excitement, like butterflies in my stomach, as I prepare to embark on a fresh journey. Each year, I set goals to guide my progress, and this time, my pen and notepad are once again ready as I prepare for Wilcon Depot’s Sales Kickoff 2025.
For us at Wilcon Depot, January is a pivotal time to recalibrate, strategize, and ignite the passion that fuels our mission. This year, we gathered at Shangri-La, The Fort Manila, for our annual sales kick-off, with the theme, “WILCON FUTURE-PROOF: Tatak Wilcon,” echoed deeply with every attendee, highlighting our commitment to innovation, resilience, and the enduring legacy of the Wilcon brand.
The six-day event from January 13 – 16 and 19-20 was nothing short of inspiring. We were privileged to be joined by distinguished speakers who provided valuable insights and sparked meaningful discussions about the future of business in a rapidly evolving world. Among them was Mr. Reynaldo Lugtu, a leading voice in digital and cultural transformation. His expertise and thought leadership challenged us to rethink how we approach technology—not as a tool for convenience but as an enabler of meaningful connections and operational excellence.
Ms. Salve Duplito, who has extensive experience in financial planning, governance, and communication, has also contributed to our discussions. Her leadership of the panel discussion was nothing short of excellent, taking us through complex issues with clarity and conviction.
Of course, I got the chance to use my voice to emphasize Wilcon’s focus on readiness for the future, highlighting the importance of anticipating change, embracing innovation, and maintaining a vision-driven mindset. As SEVP-COO of Wilcon Depot, I know the immense trust placed in our leadership to navigate a complex business landscape while staying true to our core values. The challenge of “future-proofing” our organization goes beyond adopting new technologies—it requires fostering a culture of innovation, empathy, and adaptability.
This year, our sights are set on bolstering Wilcon’s digital presence.
