19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards grand final: Honoring Asia’s best in real estate

The 19th Annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, held at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, celebrated Asia’s finest real estate and design achievements. Over 130 top developers and design practices gathered to mark the culmination of the 2024 awards series, with standout wins across multiple categories and regions.

Zhuhai Huafa Properties Co., Ltd., representing Mainland China, was honored as Best Developer (Asia), alongside other winners from the region such as Lead8 for K11 Shanghai and Jiang & Associates Creative Design for ALIBABA BEIJING CHAOYANG SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY PARK. Hong Kong and Macau also shone, with developers like China Resources Land winning for PANO HARBOUR and Lek Hang Group for Hotel Central Macau.

The Philippines emerged as the most awarded market with 12 accolades. Federal Land, Inc. received the Best Luxury Developer (Asia) title, with additional wins for Riverpark and The Estate Makati. Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates was named Best Industrial Developer (Asia), and RLC Residences gained recognition for The Residences at The Westin Manila. Notable projects included MITSUKOSHI BGC by Sunshine Fort North Bonifacio Realty and Viento at Cerca by Alveo Land.

Malaysia earned 11 wins, with Bangsar Heights Pavilion’s Quayside JBCC and Sime Darby Property’s Serenia Industrial Park standing out. Indonesia followed with eight accolades, including Best Township Developer (Asia) for Paramount Land and multiple wins for Sinar Mas Land’s BSD City and Biomedical Campus.

Singapore’s UOL Group Limited received Best Sustainable Developer (Asia) and Best Hospitality Developer (Asia). Meyer Blue, a joint project with Singapore Land Group, also won accolades. Other winners included GuocoLand and Hong Leong Holdings for Lentor Mansion and FRX Capital for Best Boutique Developer (Asia).

Australia secured seven wins, led by BLVD by OSK Property, which won Best Integrated Work From Home Development (Asia) and Best Condo Interior Design (Asia). Thailand claimed four titles, with standout projects like BuGaan Pattanakarn by Sansiri Public Company Limited. Vietnam also impressed with four wins, including Best Community Developer (Asia) for Phu Long Real Estates Corporation.

Saudi Arabia made its debut with Oud Real-Estate Development Company winning Best Mixed-Use Developer (Asia). Japan’s winners included Niseko Woodlands Limited for Grand Tsuru Niseko, while Cambodia’s LP Residences Co., Ltd. received recognition for Palm Springs.

Henry T. Sy, Jr., Chairman of SM Prime Holdings, was presented with the prestigious PropertyGuru Icon Award for his contributions to the real estate industry. The event also recognized sustainable and innovative design practices, highlighting excellence in ESG and community development.

Jeremy Williams, managing director of Marketplaces at PropertyGuru Group, emphasized the role of the awards in fostering sustainability and innovation across the region’s property markets. Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, noted the increasing diversity of accolades, celebrating both emerging markets and industry legends.

An independent panel of judges ensured the awards’ integrity, while HLB supervised the process to guarantee transparency and fairness. The Grand Final concluded PropertyGuru Week, which included the Asia Real Estate Summit and marked the debut of the Awards in the Middle East.
