And with each resolute and courageous step, we embrace the big and small victories along with the challenges as all these eventually bring us closer to our goal.
The yearend is a perfect time to reflect and take stock of what have transpired in the past 300+ days. Each day had come with its share of hits and misses, including lessons learned and opportunities for growth.
Friday, December 13, 2024, may yet be one of Wilcon Depot’s most auspicious days. Thats’s because this is the day we mark a most significant milestone in our company’s journey. Wilcon Depot’s #FlyingHighTo100 store expansion campaign has reached its target which at one time only seemed like a distant dream. The 100th Wilcon Depot store in Lubao, Pampanga, the fifth of its kind in this province, is more than a structure of bricks and mortar. It is a testament to the dogged determination of a company to serve the Filipino building community from all ends of the archipelago.
We’ve reached, built and opened our 100th store.
And reflecting on our humble beginnings as a 60-square meter shop along Quezon Avenue nearly half a century back, this is huge.
Building Dreams, One Store at a Time
Wilcon Depot began its journey in 1977 spurred by a single mission– to help people build, improve, and refine their homes for a sustainable and comfortable life by providing every Filipino with access to high-quality home improvement and construction supplies. Over the years, we have metamorphosed from being a small local store into the Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, known for offering various innovative products and excellent customer service. Each store we opened became a testament to our commitment to empowering Filipinos to build and enhance their dream homes.
But the journey was not without its challenges. From navigating economic shifts to embracing new technologies, every step required courage, vision, and teamwork. Reaching this 100-store milestone mirrors our resilience. It affirms the trust and loyalty of our customers, who have been our steadfast companions throughout this incredible journey.

The #FlyingHighTo100 campaign was more than just an expansion plan– it was a bold vision of growth and inclusivity. Each new store represented our promise to bring Wilcon closer to every Filipino, making it easier to access premium products, expert advice, and unparalleled customer support.
From bustling urban centers to serene provincial towns, every Wilcon store is a beacon of endless possibilities. Wilcon’s success translates beyond profit and revenue or being present in numerous communities. It is even more felt in the lives we’ve touched, the homes we’ve helped build, and the dreams we’ve helped craft.
I still vividly remember the first time we opened our store in Dau, Pampanga, back in 2008. It was a humble yet proud beginning in a province known for its rich culture and vibrant community. Fast forward to today, with Wilcon Depot proudly opening its 5th branch in Pampanga. We are further strengthening our commitment to the Kapampangans and other residents. We bring them the best of what is available in the local and international markets. They relish the convenience and accessibility to an expansive array of quality home-building solutions and innovative products. They support our vision. We support their dreams of better homes and brighter futures.
We at Wilcon Depot take immense pride and joy whenever we open a new store in a different province. Each “first” is a remarkable milestone and an unforgettable experience, allowing us to bring our vision of enhancing Filipino homes to new communities.
For instance, our first branch in Bohol, Isabela, Bukidnon, and Koronadal City, now thriving as a hub of progress in Mindanao, shows our unwavering commitment to our clients and the impeccable brand of Wilcon service.
These moments inspire us to continue expanding, one province at a time, building dreams and homes nationwide. We must be doing something good.
As we mark this milestone during the holiday season, we are reminded that this is an achievement to be shared. Even as we thrive on our 47th year in the business, I can only say we’ve only just begun in our mission to make things great for the Filipino builder. This mindset spurs us to keep finding newer and better ways and products for the Filipinos. We continue to explore – here in our own backyard, using local talents and products and out there in the global market.
We are unable to predict what lies ahead. Only God knows that. But at this point, one thing is certain. We will continue to innovate, expand, and serve, always staying true to our core values of quality, excellence, and sustainability.
