25-year track record in upscale student living

As the pioneer in premium university residences in the country, Torre Lorenzo Loyola’s win as Best Student Condo is a nod to the Company’s 25-year track record in providing upscale living experiences for students.

Torre Lorenzo Loyola located in Loyola Heights, Quezon City carries TLDC’s signature features. Units has a spacious layout allowing residents to study or work from home without feeling cramped. The building has a 25-meter lap pool, a fully-equipped fitness center, a Paw Park for the residents’ small pets, and an outdoor lounge at the roof deck perfect for yoga sessions, or simply to chill out.

A separate Visitor’s Lounge and meeting rooms at the ground floor ensure security and privacy at the residential floors, while a more private Residents’ Lounge can be used exclusively by residents promoting individual productivity.

The in-house property management team ensures students’ safety and security. RFID access allows parents to receive text messages when their child enters and leaves the building.

Torre Lorenzo Loyola was well-received by the market, a testament to the demand for quality residential developments in the area.  This prompted TLDC to introduce a follow-on project, the Torre Lorenzo Loyola – West Tower that will offer TLDC’s signature quality to more end-users.

Sustainable luxury in Davao de Oro

As Torre Lorenzo continues to expand, it has been mindful of its impact to the environment and its host communities. The recognition of Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort’s sustainability initiatives is a significant milestone for Torre Lorenzo.

Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort is a five-star island resort in Davao de Oro

“Torre Lorenzo is very proud to be recognized for our eco-friendly practices,” says TLDC COO Cathy Casares-Ko. “We take deliberate steps in ensuring that we are efficient in the use of energy and water, and are mindful of how we handle our waste in our developments. We walk the talk when it comes to sustainability efforts.”

Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort was distinguished for its commitment to sustainability from construction to operations. The resort uses local and eco-friendly materials in its furnishings and interiors. Materials found in the island are used for operations, for building its breakwater, and for construction of the roads.

Lubi uses clean and renewable solar energy. The 756-unit solar farm onsite helps the resort reduce its reliance on diesel for its energy requirements by 40%.  A heat recovery system in the villas allows energy produced by air-conditioning to be recovered to heat the water used in the bathrooms.

The ground of the resort was intentionally designed to absorb rainwater to replenish the island’s aquifers. Water from the aquifers is purified through a reverse osmosis plant situated onsite, and is used as drinking water. It has a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) that treats waste water, which is used for irrigation and landscaping.

The island has a Materials Recovery Facilities (MRF) for segregation of trash, which is turned over to the local government for proper processing, while organic waste is composted in a pit located on the island.

Lubi maintains its own nursery and an herb garden which is a source of fresh ingredients for dishes served on the island.

It protects and conserves an estimate of two hectares of rich marine biodiversity in the Davao Gulf in partnership with DENR. Lubi is also a turtle sanctuary. Hawksbill turtles come lay their eggs on the beach and our staff protect these eggs until they are ready to be released into the ocean.

“This recognition for Torre Lorenzo and its projects was made possible by the work done by our team members in ensuring that we create projects that are responsive to our clients’ preferences,” says Lorenzo. “Moving forward to the next 25 years, we will continue to innovate, elevate the lives of clients and guests, and ensure the success of our partners and communities.”
