Rosie A. Dominguez leaves a legacy of excellence at Alsons Dev

After more than three decades of dedicated service, Rosie A. Dominguez has retired as the Executive Vice President of Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev), the premier real estate developer in Davao City. Her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment have not only driven the company to remarkable success but have also played a pivotal role in enhancing the urban landscape and quality of life in Davao.

Pioneering developments

Rosie’s tenure at Alsons Dev is marked by transformative projects that redefined residential living in Davao City. One of her early accomplishments was the relaunch of Ladislawa into Ladislawa Garden Village, a milestone that introduced Davao’s first themed residential community complete with country club facilities. This set a new standard for future developments in the city.

Ladislawa Garden Village, one of Rosie’s earliest achievements, stands as a key milestone in Davao’s real estate history, being the city’s first gated subdivision with leisure amenities.

Between 1994 and 2010, Alsons Dev, under Rosie’s guidance, became synonymous with quality living spaces. Landmark projects such as Woodridge Park, Las Terrazas, Northcrest, Fernwood, Wood Lane, and Eden Ridge solidified the company’s reputation for creating communities that emphasize design, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

In 2013, Rosie spearheaded the development of Northtown, a vibrant township designed to meet the evolving needs of Davao’s residents. This was followed by the launch of Nurtura Land and Home in 2016, with Narra Park Residences as its flagship project, catering to the mid-cost housing market.

In 2022, the launch of Poblacion Market Central further diversified Alsons Dev’s portfolio, enhancing Davao’s shopping and dining landscape. This project provided a new home for the shops from the historic Aldevinco Shopping Center, which had served the community from 1965 to 2021.

Alsons Dev also expanded its footprint beyond Davao with the 2023 launch of Avia Estate, a master-planned, mixed-use township in Alabel, Sarangani, along with Narra Park Residences Avia.

Celebrating a legacy of success

Under Rosie’s leadership, Alsons Dev received numerous accolades. From 2020 onward, the company was consistently recognized at the BPI Partners Appreciation Night as one of the top real estate developer partners, and it was celebrated as a leading local developer in title delivery and production.

Narra Park Residences and Northtown Residences also garnered prestigious awards, including recognitions from the 11th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards and The Outlook 2023: Philippine Real Estate Awards by Lamudi, affirming Alsons Dev’s excellence and versatility in the real estate sector.

Exceptional communities like Narra Park Residences have been recognized by national real estate award-giving bodies, cementing Alsons Dev as one of Davao’s leading real estate developers.

Passing the torch

Rosie’s retirement marks the end of an era for Alsons Dev, but her influence will continue to shape the company’s future. Reflecting on her journey, Rosie shared, “It’s been an incredible journey working alongside talented individuals to build Alsons Dev and positively impact Davao. Together, we’ve created thriving communities and a strong sense of belonging. I’m confident that our team will keep excelling and enhancing the lives of Mindanaoans for years to come.”

As Rosie steps down, her son, Miguel Rene A. Dominguez, will take on the role of President and CEO. With a wealth of experience from various leadership positions within the Alcantara Group, Miguel is well-prepared to lead Alsons Dev into its next chapter.

“My mother’s dedication and vision have profoundly shaped the company and the city,” Miguel said. “I am honored to continue her legacy of creating exceptional living environments and contributing to Davao City’s growth.”

While Rosie’s retirement signifies the close of a remarkable chapter at Alsons Dev, it also ushers in a new era of growth and opportunity. With a strong foundation and a forward-looking vision, Alsons Dev is poised to continue shaping Davao City’s landscape and delivering outstanding living experiences for generations to come.
