Suntrust Properties, Inc. (SPI), a subsidiary of Megaworld Corporation, recently honored its top-performing sales agents for the 2nd Quarter of 2024 in an Olympic-inspired event titled “Suntrust 2024: Taas Noo, Suntrustee To.” Held on August 20, 2024, at Palacio De Maynila, the celebration drew inspiration from the recent triumphs of Filipino athletes at the Paris Olympics.
The event kicked off with a grand parade of 300 Suntrustees, each proudly dressed in Olympic-themed attire, embodying the spirit of champions. The vibrant atmosphere reflected the pride and camaraderie shared among the sales force.
Suntrust senior vice president Atty. Basilio Almazan Jr. opened the festivities with an inspiring speech, drawing a parallel between the journey of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and the determination of Suntrust’s sales team. “Yulo’s success was not achieved overnight. He has experienced failures in the past, and yet it didn’t stop him from striving harder. He persevered until he achieved his goals. There were setbacks but these only fueled his determination to work harder,” Almazan noted.
Following this, Suntrust first vice president for Sales and Marketing Jerry Rubis expressed deep appreciation for the Suntrustees’ unwavering commitment. “Today, we celebrate not just victories but your unwavering dedication and pursuit of excellence. Like the Olympic athletes who push beyond their limits, our Suntrustees show this commitment every day,” he said.
Rubis also highlighted the daily challenges faced by the sales team, likening their perseverance to that of Olympic athletes. “Every day in real estate is like an Olympic event—challenging and demanding. Yet, your perseverance makes you our champions. Kaya’t kami ay nagpupugay sa sipag ng bawat isang Suntrustee Olympian,” he added.
The evening featured an awards ceremony honoring top-performing agents, accompanied by raffle prizes and surprise performances by Suntrust employees.
In his closing remarks, Suntrust president Atty. Harrison Paltongan emphasized the symbolic yellow attire worn by the Executive Committee, representing energy and enduring strength. “The color of energy, the color of the sun that never fades—this is our symbol of strength and inspiration,” Paltongan stated. He urged the Suntrustees to continue their journey with resilience and optimism, drawing parallels to the relentless preparation of Olympic athletes.
