It was around this time two years ago when Swedish home furnishing brand IKEA opened in the Philippines, to the delight of Filipinos.
Since then, Filipinos continue to enjoy the charming, sustainable and practical home solutions IKEA offers.
Today, two years after it opened its doors in Manila, IKEA is working together with Arthaland, the country’s foremost green developer, to give away a sustainable home to a lucky customer to celebrate its second anniversary.
Here’s what Arthaland said when it reported the good news:
IKEA and Arthaland have been making significant strides in promoting a sustainable future.
At Arthaland, sustainability is deeply ingrained in every aspect of its business operations and it takes pride in being the first and only real estate developer in the Philippines with a residential and commercial portfolio that is 100 percent certified as sustainable by local and global organizations.
IKEA, on the other hand, empowers people to live more sustainably hence its focus on affordable, sustainably made products and home solutions that can help people live a more sustainable life at home.
This shared commitment has brought the two companies together to help Filipinos live more sustainably at home. Future residents are assured that their home is built using low-impact and high-quality materials and is designed to reduce water and energy consumption.
They can also take comfort in knowing their furnishings are sourced from renewable or recycled materials that are built to last.
“The response to this initiative was quite overwhelming and we are glad that, through the help of IKEA, more people are aware that the choices we make in our home can have a tremendous impact on preserving the environment,” said Oliver Chan, SVP and chief sustainability officer of Arthaland.
In celebration of the second anniversary of IKEA Pasay City, IKEA is giving away a fully furnished sustainable home from Una Apartments.
All IKEA Family members who will spend a minimum of P10,000 both instore and online are entitled to a raffle entry, which allows them a chance to win the grand prize of a studio unit at Una Apartments at Sevina Park, Binan Laguna worth over P7 million and furnished with IKEA home solutions.
Minor prizes of home makeover packages worth up to P100,000 will also be given away. The raffle will run until January 31, 2024.
“IKEA aspires to inspire the many Filipinos to live a more sustainable life at home. To celebrate our second year in the Philippines, together with Arthaland, we also want to give back with the gift of a sustainable home to one lucky IKEA Family member,” says IKEA Philippines country retail manager Gerard Jansen.
Una Apartments will offer the raffle winner a living experience that is one step above with its host of sustainable and wellness features, high quality and superior design.
It is on track to be the first multi-certified mid-market residential development in the country.
The units are designed to lower utility bills by 20 percent and to improve indoor air quality for the peace of mind, wellness, and comfort of residents.
This initiative between IKEA and Arthaland highlights their shared commitment to sustainability, aiming to develop stylish and functional living spaces that prioritize environmental responsibility.
This aligns with the dedication of IKEA to creating a more sustainable life at home and underscores Una Apartments’ focus on sustainable design.
