Flavors of Summer: KAL Asian Mart opens in San Jose Del Monte and Dasmariñas

KAL, the Villar Group’s latest specialty retail concept, recently opened a new branch at Starmall San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan and another one in Vista Mall Dasmariñas, Cavite, its fifth and sixth stores respectively.

This vigorous expansion in Mega Manila follows the launch of the maiden branch in Vista Mall Taguig and the stores in Vista Mall Sta. Rosa, Vista Mall Global South, and Vista Mall in Bataan in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Villar Group chairman Manny Villar said the group has more exciting stores to open this year. “We are excited to bring KAL and our other retail brands to greater heights this year,” he said.

KAL features a Love Lokal section, which offers local delicacies such as dried mangoes from Cebu, chocolate treats from Davao, and handicraft items.

“AllValue’s retail concepts are always informed by not just what’s hip, fun, and useful in the local retail landscape, but what we’ve seen to be exciting from all over the world,” said Camille Villar, vice-chairman of the AllValue, the retail arm of the Villar Group.

KAL gives you a joyful journey around Asia with its choices of food specialties in the region. Whether you make your own ramen, have some sushi or even samgyupsal at home, or simply munch on your favorite imported snacks, KAL has a wide array of products to delight you.

“KAL is the culmination of our many experiences from the markets of China, Thailand, and Korea and of course, our own experience here in the Philippines.  We’ve taken the best of what we’ve seen and wrapped it in our AllValue touch, one that is always geared towards providing each customer, from whatever walk of life, an elevated and exciting retail experience,” she added.

KAL has an Asian Mart section, which covers a number of food and non-food products from Japan, Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries. It offers a vast range of categories from fresh food items, pharmacy, personal care, DIY and home improvement and pet care, gadgets, computers, sports equipment, car care, fabric, toys and apparel for all ages.   It also has general merchandise and adult interest items.

The flavors of summer are well represented at KAL Asian Mart—you can find the finest local food and the best products from Japan, Korea, Thailand and other countries in the Asian region. Whether you want to fill your taste buds with the rich flavor of a Jeju Matcha Latte, a cup of Pink Rocket Topokki, Orion Kkobukchip Potato Chips or have a bowl of Japanese ramen and drink a bit of soju, KAL Asian Mart has all of these food specialties for you.

KAL also features food trucks that offer Korean and Japanese favorites.
