Condé Nast Traveler recognized Discovery Shores Boracay as one of the Top 25 Resorts in Asia, based on its annual tourism survey, the 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards. More than 20,000 readers were asked to nominate the hotels and spas they escape to, as well as the islands, cities, and countries that spark their curiosity. Discovery Suites Ortigas was likewise named as one of the Top 30 Hotels in Asia by the same international travel magazine.
Meanwhile, Green Destinations, a non-profit foundation for sustainable tourism, also recently unveiled its Top 100 Sustainable Stories award, which includes Club Paradise Palawan, making the resort the only Philippine property that made it to the list.
The Top 100 Sustainable Stories award recognizes global destinations that are taking incremental steps and making promising progress towards a more sustainable tourism industry. Its goal is to share these destinations’ innovative and effective sustainability tourism stories and good management practices as inspiring examples for others.
Mr. Jun Parreño, the president of Discovery World Corp, says: “We are deeply grateful for these international recognitions… our dedication for service and our commitment to our guests, the environment, and the community where we belong have been our driving force, especially during this very challenging time. We proudly carry the Philippine flag in all our wins and we are extremely delighted to put the Philippines on the map of world-class tourism.”
