Makati hotel’s The Peninsula Manila was voted by readers of international magazine Travel + Leisure as one of the top 100 hotels in the world.
Based on the results of Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards Survey 2021, The Peninsula Makati ranked 25th with a score of 98.40.
The Philippine hotel tied with the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet, which garnered the same score.
“A grande dame in the center of Manila’s business district, this opulent hotel has 497 rooms and suites, eight restaurants and bars, a spa and fitness center, and an outdoor pool surrounded by tropical gardens,”Travel + Leisure said.
“The staff are always at the ready, whether it’s helping with sightseeing or room service,”it added.
The Peninsula Manila also made it on the list of best city hotels in Asia landing on the fifth spot.
Meanwhile, readers of Travel + Leisure also voted Palawan as among the best islands in the world in the same survey.
Palawan ranked 19th in the best islands list with a score of 88.63.
The island also made it on the top five islands in Asia list, ranking fifth.
Last year, Travel + Leisure readers voted Palawan as the best island in the world, making it the island’s third time to bag the top spot.
Palawan was previously voted as the best island in the world in 2013 and 2017.
