Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz gets free house and lot, condo

For literally lifting the price of the Filipino people, Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz has been awarded a P14 million residential condominium unit in Eastwood City by tycoon Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corp. 

“This epic moment is about 97 years in the making, and this is our way of saying thanks to Hidilyn for making us all proud. We believe that it’s just right to give our first-ever Olympic gold medalist a home in our first-ever township, Eastwood City, where she can enjoy the township lifestyle with her family and loved ones,” said Kevin Tan, Megaworld chief strategy officer.

Properties Group and Mitsubishi Corporation, also announced that it is awarding

a house and lot package to  Diaz for her outstanding achievements as the

Philippines’ first ever Olympic gold medalist.

send our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Ms. Hidiyln Diaz for bringing

home the gold and bringing pride to the Philippines,” said Century Properties

Group executive chairman Jose E.B. Antonio.

Aside from this, Philippine Olympic Committee president Abrahan Tolentino also said that every athlete who will win the gold will also be awarded with a house and lot. 


The 30-year old Diaz, who hails from Zamboanga, has set an Olympic weightlifting record in the women’s 55-kilogram event by lifting a total of 224 kilograms at the Tokyo Olympics.
