Sanicare builds new classrooms for public school in Cotabato

For the longest time, the teachers and students of Lagao 2nd Bo. Elementary School in General Santos, Cotabato has made the most out of the makeshift classrooms that are not conducive to learning.

“Tuwing umuulan, tumutulo ang (tubig sa) bubong,” says Jillian, a Grade 2 student. “Nahihirapan din kaming makinig sa teacher. Hindi kami makapag-aral nang mabuti dahil mainit,” shares another student named Alimar.

Now, with two new classrooms donated by Sanitary Care Products Asia, Inc. (SCPA), in partnership with The Hope Foundation and the Department of Education (DepEd), the young learners can now focus and actively participate in class because of the comfort the new space gives.

“Tuwang-tuwa po kami dahil magkakaroon na kami ng bagong classroom,” shares Grade 2 teacher Janet Nunez. The teachers used to have a hard time guiding the students because of how close the classrooms were to the highway.

SCPA is the maker of Sanicare, Femme, Cheers, Tisyu and other products, such as cotton pads and hand sanitizers, which are considered essential during this time.

“SCPA has always been committed to improving the quality of life of every Filipino, whether in the hygiene products we offer them or in the programs we support,” expresses Lea Sio Pacis, marketing director of SCPA.
