(CLI), has announced that it will open its first property outside of Metro Manila in July. The Citadines Cebu City will be the fourth Citadines Apart’hotel property in the country, joining Citadines Salcedo Makati, Citadines Millennium Ortigas Manila, and Citadines Bay City Manila.
Citadines Cebu City is designed to be functional and offer spacious apartments with all the conveniences of a modern home and the services of a hotel. As a serviced residence with 180 rooms, the property aims to be guests’ home away from home while treating them with the utmost care and pampering. It is set to refine the hospitality industry in the city.
Cebu City has become one of the largest and fastest-growing business districts in the country, harnessing the economic potential with many businesses emerging in various industries including trade and business process outsourcing. Cebu also takes pride in its natural destinations, and rich history and culture, which attracts local and international tourists. Central Visayas alone welcomed 8 million tourist arrivals in 2018, which resulted in hotels popping up all over Cebu, adding to the already robust economy and booming tourism industry.

Ascott is targeting to offer 6,000 units in the country and through its partnership with CLI, the international hospitality company is expanding its reach to the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Apart from Citadines Cebu City, three other properties are also in the works — lyf Cebu City, Citadines Bacolod City, and Citadines Paragon Davao — which are scheduled to open within 2021 and 2022.
