KellerWilliams (KW), currently the number one real estate franchise in the US, has opened a new branch at Civic Prime Building in Filinvest City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City on Thursday, May 16.
Rolando Acuesta, KW Philippines regional operating principal and Marla Nañadiego, KW Philippines regional marketing and operations manager, led the ribbon-cutting for the new office just across Filinvest City’s sprawling Festival Mall.
Currently the third company-owned branch after Quezon City and Makati, the new branch is part of KW’s effort to expand its footprint in the Philippines, where demand for real estate has spiked rapidly in recent years. The opening of the new office brings the total number of KW branches in the country to seven.
Like any other KW branch, the new office will serve as a hub for KW agents tasked with headhunting buyers for preselling and resale of residential properties and leasing of commerical space.
“We chose Alabang because the market is big here already but still has plenty of space to grow and because this is also the base for our parent company in the Philippines, Filinvest Land,” Nañadiego stated.
She added that with the opening of a new branch, prospective buyers in the area can have a wider range of property options, including over 150 Filinvest Land properties in Alabang.
The demand for real estate in Alabang is currently driven by Chinese, Koreans, Americans, and other foreign buyers who are either retiring or are doing business in the country, she explained.
Real estate brokers at KW are also in a distinct and advantageous position compared to other real estate franchises. Aside from the usual commission, brokers get an almost 50 percent “growth share” from the company, as recognition of their contribution to the company’s growth.
They also benefit from KW’s global network of property listings and agents that would help them find the right property for their buyers, as well as professional trainings that make them at par with global standards in real estate sales.
Moreover, they will enjoy exclusive access to KW’s innovations in selling real estate, such as the Kelle AI Virtual Assistant, which has been dubbed as the “Siri of Real Estate Sales.”
Founded in 1983 by Gary Keller and Joe Williams in a small office in Austin, Texas, KW has since grown to a global franchise with over 180,000 associates worldwide. In 2017, it became the number one real estate franchise in the US in terms of volume, number of units sold, and number of agents.
Last year, it was named one of the Happiest Places to Work For in the US and the number one company in the Training Top 125 list.
