Chancellor Hotel Boracay introduces a new family stay on the island

Boracay Newcoast positions itself as a township where tourism, culture, and community meet

Property Report joined Megaworld for a media tour of Chancellor Hotel Boracay, the newest hospitality addition within the 150-hectare Boracay Newcoast township in Malay, Aklan.

Developed by Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI), Megaworld’s tourism and leisure township arm, the hotel marks the group’s third hospitality development within the Boracay Newcoast estate.

The lobby of Chancellor Hotel Boracay welcomes guests with warm, modern interiors inspired by coastal living.

Positioned near Cove 2 within the township, the hotel introduces a concept that leans toward family-oriented travel—an evolving segment in Boracay’s visitor profile. The 554-suite property highlights room configurations designed to make multi-generational travel more comfortable, including themed kids’ rooms directly connected to adult suites. Designed with vibrant interiors inspired by fantasy and adventure—from pirate ships to undersea worlds—the rooms aim to create a more immersive island stay for younger guests while allowing families to remain closely connected throughout their visit.

Beyond its unique room concepts, Chancellor Hotel Boracay integrates leisure and wellness amenities designed for travelers balancing rest and activity. Guests can enjoy open courtyards, landscaped decks with views of the township and surrounding landscape, a swimming pool with in-pool jacuzzi, a fitness garden, and the Emerald Spa. Dining experiences are anchored by the Chancellor Café’s curated menu of local and international dishes, complemented by sunset drinks at the Zabana Pool Bar.

Chancellor Café serves international and Filipino dishes in a bright, contemporary dining space.

The property also caters to travelers combining leisure with work or celebrations, with executive boardrooms and a function space that can host gatherings and milestone events.

The opening marks Megaworld’s continued expansion of hospitality offerings within Boracay Newcoast, becoming the township’s third hotel alongside Savoy Hotel Boracay and Belmont Hotel Boracay.

Guest rooms at Chancellor Hotel Boracay offer views of the surrounding sea and Boracay Newcoast landscape.

“We have been seeing a more diverse market for Boracay Newcoast, which is why we continue to diversify our hotel offerings to create experiences for different types of travelers,” said Maia Israel, area general manager for Boracay Newcoast.

With the addition of Chancellor Hotel Boracay, the township now offers more than 1,500 hotel rooms across its properties, reinforcing Boracay Newcoast’s growing role as a tourism hub on the island.

A township shaped by tourism and community

During the tour, Megaworld also shared how Boracay Newcoast continues to evolve as a destination that blends tourism with cultural and community initiatives.

The promenade at Boracay Newcoast offers open views of the island’s coastline and nearby coves.

Among these efforts is the development of Muslim-friendly beach areas, designed to welcome a wider range of visitors while respecting cultural preferences and travel needs. The township is also working with surrounding communities through local weaving programs, encouraging the production of sustainable goods while preserving traditional craftsmanship.

These initiatives allow tourism to extend beyond the visitor experience, helping create livelihood opportunities while highlighting local culture.

Located on Boracay’s quieter side, Boracay Newcoast offers a different way to experience the island—one that balances the tranquility of private coves and open spaces with convenient access to Boracay’s vibrant beach life.

For visitors and residents alike, the township presents an environment where peace, privacy, and the active rhythm of island living can exist side by side.
