Via Durini officially launches Italian-inspired furniture for the modern Filipino home

Via Durini unveiled its inaugural collection of Italian-inspired furniture on Thursday, February 5, marking the official launch of the brand to its discerning clientele at its Makati showroom.

Showcasing signature craftsmanship and attention to detail, Via Durini positions itself as a provider of refined furniture and modular systems designed for thoughtful living and timeless appeal. The brand has been operating since the soft opening of its showroom in June 2024.

“Via Durini draws inspiration from Milan’s iconic design district, where craftsmanship, material excellence, and understated elegance define everyday living,” said Via Durini Managing Director Enrico Villanueva. “The idea came to us while my wife and I were building our home. We found limited options that offered premium design and quality at an accessible price point, which led us to introduce Italian-inspired pieces that balance refined aesthetics, functionality, and value for the Philippine market.”

Enrico Villanueva, Managing Director of Via Durini Ventures, Inc., leads Via Durini’s vision for timeless Italian-inspired designs for the Filipino home.

All Via Durini furniture pieces and modular systems are sustainably sourced and manufactured in China. According to Villanueva, Chinese manufacturing has evolved to match European standards while remaining cost-effective.

“Europe and Italy continue to lead in furniture and kitchen design, but China’s manufacturing has caught up in terms of quality. This makes it a highly appealing option for mid- to upper-tier markets in the Philippines,” he explained. Via Durini also offers end-to-end services, from ordering and delivery to installation and after-sales support.

“Our purpose is to bring best-in-design and craftsmanship to Filipino homes by offering quality that is accessible and customized to real needs,” Villanueva said. “We aim to become a high-value name in the Philippine interior and modular solutions industry by redefining how people experience furniture and how their lifestyles are enhanced by well-designed spaces.”

Responding to evolving consumer preferences, Villanueva noted a growing demand for modular kitchens and cabinetry in urban homes due to their space-saving and customizable nature. Filipino consumers, he observed, tend to invest in premium pieces for public or entertaining spaces while choosing practical solutions for private areas—reflecting a balance between prestige and pragmatism.

“This is the market Via Durini serves—clients who value design and quality while remaining practical and savings-conscious,” he added. “Our offerings deliver functional premiumization tailored to different spaces, lifestyles, and budgets.”

The Makati showroom was designed as a lived-in space, allowing visitors to experience Via Durini pieces in real time. Staying true to its customization and turnkey solutions, the showroom features modular sofas, marble dining tables, and configurable systems, with over 200 series of sustainably sourced fabric and leather options available.

Configurable sofas combined with our vast options of accent pieces create a light-filled living space defined by our Italian-design ethos–clean lines, soft textures, and understated elegance.

Looking ahead, Villanueva shared that Via Durini plans to expand its supplier network, deepen customization capabilities, and explore hospitality and commercial projects. “We also plan to open more showrooms in Metro Manila in the coming years,” he said. “We’re proud to launch Via Durini with a clear and authentic vision—where quality, design, and purpose come together. Most importantly, we aim to offer clients a refined, functional alternative to fully European furnishing. We invite customers to experience the showroom and envision how our pieces can become part of their everyday lives,” Villanueva concluded.
