Federal Land brings new energy to Marikina with FIFA-standard football Field

Federal Land is ushering in the holiday season with fresh momentum at Marikina Town Center, its master-planned estate in Marikina City, marked by the opening of a new FIFA-standard football field. The new addition introduces a dedicated space for play, fitness, and community gatherings—giving families and sports enthusiasts more reasons to visit and celebrate the season in the East.

A new home for Sports and Community Life

Marikina now has a new venue for football, fitness, and shared experiences. Spanning 100 by 68 meters, the FIFA-standard football field is designed for both casual play and organized matches, with bleachers that can accommodate up to 250 spectators. From friendly games to local tournaments, the space is envisioned as an active hub that brings people together through sport.

“With this new turf field, we hope to give Marikina a new space for sports and recreation—and more importantly, a place where the community can come together,” said Jose Mari Banzon, President of Federal Land.

More reasons to look forward to

The opening of the new football field signals a renewed chapter for Marikina Town Center, which plays a key role in Federal Land’s long-term vision for the eastern corridor. The development sets the tone for a more dynamic township, where lifestyle, leisure, and everyday activity intersect.

Momentum continues into the coming years. Redevelopment works for Blue Wave Mall and the adjacent Petron station are already underway, with a refreshed mall targeted to open in the first half of 2026. The next phase will introduce expanded sports and lifestyle facilities—including basketball, badminton, and pickleball courts—alongside additional commercial and residential developments in the pipeline.

Part of a bigger, national vision

The latest addition at Marikina Town Center reflects Federal Land Communities’ broader ambition to develop 10 master-planned townships across the country. Each estate is designed to support active lifestyles, encourage connection, and create places where people can live well and enjoy everyday moments together.
