Damosa Land Inc. is entering 2026 with its strongest development pipeline yet as it prepares to open TRYP by Wyndham Samal, Mindanao’s newest international-branded hospitality project. The milestone caps a landmark 2025 for the company, underscored by expanded investments across its portfolio and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) first-ever approval of a rental pool program under the newly established SEC-RENT framework— establishing a new national benchmark for transparency, standardized governance, and investor protection in condotel and alternative real estate investment models.
“With TRYP by Wyndham Samal launching next year, we are entering a new chapter that elevates tourism, accelerates estate development, and unlocks greater opportunities for communities and businesses across the region,” said Ricardo F. Lagdameo, President of Damosa Land, Inc. “Our trajectory in 2025 reflects the confidence investors have in Mindanao and our long-term commitment to its growth.”
Set to become a key landmark in Samal, TRYP by Wyndham is a four-star, 100-room condotel featuring a 250-seat ballroom, flexible meeting spaces, upscale dining concepts, and modern recreational amenities. Backed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s largest hotel chains, the property is poised to elevate Samal Island’s positioning as both a leisure and business destination, strengthening tourism arrivals and catalyzing local economic activity.
The development is projected to generate ₱1.2 billion in total sales value, further reinforcing Damosa Land’s role as a pioneer in shaping responsible and forward-looking investment opportunities in Mindanao.
Driving Mindanao’s residential, industrial, and business growth
Beyond hospitality, Damosa Land continued to strengthen its residential, industrial, and business portfolio in 2025, attracting new global players and expanding critical infrastructure across its estates.
At the Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE), Thai Coconut Public Company Limited (COCOCO) invested 430 million Baht in a coconut milk production facility set for completion in early 2026. The estate also activated its BFP fire station and is preparing for the opening of GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corporation’s expanded cold storage facility in the first quarter of 2026. To support rising locators, construction of the San Pedro Substation with an initial 10 MVA capacity is underway, targeted to go online by June 2026.
The Damosa IT Park, the first PEZA-accredited IT park in Southern Mindanao, welcomed global KPO firm CloudStaff as it expanded its operations in Davao, reinforcing the city’s growing appeal to outsourcing companies.
On the residential front, Damosa Land advanced the development of Kahi Estates, Davao City’s first sustainable agri-residential community with 100% underground utilities, highlighting the company’s continued investment in future-ready living spaces.
Boosting global partnerships and community development
In 2025, Damosa Land deepened its commitment to both industry excellence and community-building through strategic collaborations and long-term development initiatives. Its new partnership with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a global leader in real estate and investment management, strengthens the company’s operational capabilities across its mixed-use, residential, and industrial estates. The collaboration enhances estate management, investor services, and overall asset performance, ensuring that Damosa Land’s portfolio meets global standards as demand in Mindanao continues to grow.
Supporting inclusive and sustainable development, Damosa Land is advancing key education and youth initiatives. This includes continuing the flagship University of the Philippines Professional School for Agriculture and the Environment (UP PSAE) to boost agri-innovation in Mindanao, and infrastructure improvements, like the Luis P. Rodriguez Integrated School perimeter fence. Damosa Land also expanded its support through a scholarship program for Mindanaoan student-athletes with Adamson University and sustains its grassroots football program with Kaya Football Academy.
Damosa Land likewise strengthened Samal Island’s rising reputation as a sports, leisure, and wellness hub through its hosting of the IRONMAN 5150 triathlon at Bridgeport. This event brought together athletes, families, and local businesses while showcasing the area’s growing tourism potential.
With TRYP by Wyndham Samal set to open, growing foreign investments, and a stronger industrial and IT estate ecosystem, Damosa Land enters 2026 with momentum and a clear focus on Mindanao’s growth.
“Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to driving innovation, creating opportunities, and building a Mindanao that sets the standard even on the world stage,” emphasized Lagdameo.
