Genteelhome: Celebrating Filipino craftsmanship with purpose and passion

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Pampanga, Genteelhome has been crafting more than just furniture—it has been telling stories of Filipino heritage and artistry since its founding in 2013. At the helm is Principal Designer Katrina Blanca De Leon, whose vision goes beyond aesthetics. Her mission is clear: to elevate Filipino craftsmanship and inspire pride in local design while fostering collaborations that resonate on a global stage.

Every piece we create is #MadeWithLove, reflecting her belief that great design can transform spaces and lives. From intricate details to bold, sweeping designs, Genteelhome’s creations serve as a testament to the richness of Filipino culture and the brilliance of its artisans.

Genteelhome, more than just furniture, is about creating experiences. Their off-the-rack collection combines elements of nostalgia with modern practicality, each piece thoughtfully designed to serve as both functional furniture and a work of art. For those who want a more personal touch, their bespoke services allow clients to collaborate on unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that echo their individuality and lifestyle.

If you’re dreaming of a home that’s distinctly yours, Genteelhome’s curated spaces service brings visions to life, from conceptualization to construction, ensuring every detail mirrors the client’s personality. “We are not just creating furniture; we are crafting experiences. Our pieces will last a lifetime and even be passed on to generations. We want to build a legacy of quality and innovation in every piece we produce. Plus, Filipino design deserves recognition, not just locally but even abroad,” De Leon explained.

Sustainability: A commitment to the future

At Genteelhome, sustainability is more than a buzzword—it’s a responsibility. The atelier recently pledged 3% of its project revenue to the Haribon Foundation’s reforestation efforts, a step toward preserving the very environment that inspires their work.

“Just as we honor the hands that create our furniture, we also honor the resources that sustain us,” De Leon remarked. “By supporting their reforestation efforts, we’re not only contributing to a greener future but also ensuring that future generations can enjoy the natural resources we use in our designs.”

Looking forward, Genteelhome plans to launch artisan training workshops in 2025. This initiative aims to nurture the next generation of Filipino craftsmen, ensuring that the artistry behind their designs continues to thrive while also providing livelihood opportunities.

The power of collaboration

Genteelhome thrives on collaboration, working hand-in-hand with artisans, local leaders, and creative professionals to bring their vision to life. Their recent Gratitude Lunch was a heartfelt celebration of the partnerships that have enriched their journey.

“Genteelhome has always been about celebrating the craftsmanship, passion, and creativity that go into every piece we create,” said De Leon. “We honor the artisans whose hands transform ideas into tangible works of art, the talented team that breathes life into our vision, and the media and creatives who amplify our story to the world.”

Crafting a legacy of beauty and innovation

From its beginnings with a single commissioned piece, Genteelhome has blossomed into a name synonymous with luxury, quality, and heart. Whether it’s in their Pampanga studio or their Ortigas showroom, it invites everyone to explore the timeless beauty and innovation of Filipino design.

Genteelhome stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when creativity, passion, and purpose come together. As they continue to innovate and inspire, Genteelhome will always celebrate the artistry of Filipino craftsmanship and be a legacy that promises to leave a lasting impact.
