This Christmas, MITSUKOSHI BGC embraces the festive spirit with events that celebrate the joy of giving, sharing, and togetherness. Drawing from the Japanese tradition of Okurimono—“gift”—this season offers an immersive experience that combines the warmth of Japanese culture with the vibrant energy of the holidays.

As part of The Seasons Residences, a collaboration between Federal Land, Inc., Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., MITSUKOSHI BGC redefines urban living with curated retail and dining spaces inspired by Japanese aesthetics and culture. Mitsuko the Kokeshi Doll: Spreading holiday cheer

The festivities begin with the debut of Mitsuko, a chic and playful Kokeshi doll who embodies the joy of Japanese culture and the holiday season. Mitsuko’s vibrant personality—loving shopping, karaoke, and delicious food—adds a touch of whimsy to Christmas at MITSUKOSHI BGC.

A special Kokeshi Doll installation, complete with magical snow effects, invites guests to take Instagram-worthy selfies. Visitors who share their photos on social media with #MITSUKOSHIBGC and #MITSUKO will receive a free Key Coffee voucher. This promotion is available for the first 200 customers from November 20 to 30, 2024.

The iconic Lion Statue: A symbol of hospitality

MITSUKOSHI BGC’s lion statue. By placing the symbol of MITSUKOSHI at the entrance, they aim to have all the customers feel the spirit of hospitality or “omotenashi”, which the Japanese people are known for.

Adding a historic touch to the festivities, MITSUKOSHI BGC features its iconic Lion Statue, a symbol of prosperity and hospitality that has graced the entrance of MITSUKOSHI Nihombashi in Japan since 1914. Making its first appearance in the Philippines, the Lion Statue invites visitors to experience Omotenashi—the Japanese art of hospitality—and create memorable moments with loved ones.

Dining and gifting delights

The holiday season is the perfect time to gather and indulge in delicious food. MITSUKOSHI BGC extends its dining hours to ensure visitors can savor festive meals with family and friends:

  • Monday to Thursday: 11 AM to 10 PM
  • Friday: 11 AM to 11 PM
  • Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: 10 AM to 11 PM
Guests were the first to sample the delicious, Japanese-inspired bites by Ipponyari Catering. Ipponyari will be opening soon at MITSUKOSHI BGC.

From December 1 to 31, guests can join the Dine-In Raffle Promotion for a chance to win prizes, including a MacBook Pro, restaurant gift certificates, Christmas cakes, and Metrobank merchandise. To qualify, Metrobank cardholders need to spend a minimum of P3,000, while other payment methods require a minimum of P4,000 at participating restaurants, including Ralph Wine, CBTL, and Prologue.

A festive cultural celebration for all ages

This holiday season, MITSUKOSHI BGC showcases a unique blend of Japanese, Western, and Filipino traditions. The Christmas visuals, aligned with the Isetan Mitsukoshi campaign by designer Akira Minagawa, feature whimsical characters that reflect individuality and the spirit of Japanese Christmas.

From December 20 to 22, children aged 5 to 11 can join the Christmas Kids Event, featuring sing-alongs, workshops, games, and sweet treats from participating tenants. Registration is open to families who make a minimum purchase of P2,000.

For visitors of all ages, live music performances and a Santa Meet & Greet from December 23 to 25 will add festive cheer. Guests can enjoy classic Japanese Christmas songs, live entertainment, and a chance to meet Santa Claus himself.

Looking ahead to 2025

The holiday excitement doesn’t end with Christmas. In March 2025, MITSUKOSHI BGC will welcome Ipponyari, a new Japanese restaurant offering authentic dishes at reasonable prices. This addition further strengthens MITSUKOSHI’s mission of delivering a true Japanese experience to Metro Manila.
