Damosa Land unveils sustainable agri-residence project Kahi Estates

Championing sustainable and resilient living in Mindanao, Damosa Land, Inc. (DLI) has launched Kahi Estates, its first agri-residential project in Davao City. Named after the word “Kahilom,” meaning peace and tranquility, Kahi Estates is designed to offer a harmonious lifestyle that deepens residents’ connection with nature and wellness.

Damosa Land President Ricardo “Cary” Lagdameo highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable development during the recent groundbreaking ceremony. “In Kahi Estates, we envision creating a residence where people can embrace sustainable living and better appreciate agriculture and the environment,” Lagdameo shared. “We want this new project to serve as a model not only for our future developments but also for other property developers aiming to adopt sustainable practices.”

Kahi Estates, slated for completion in October 2027, spans five hectares and offers 48 lots. The project is crafted in collaboration with Palafox Associates, led by the esteemed architect and urban planner Ar. Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr., drawing from the concept of “Ecopolis” to create a cityscape that seamlessly integrates the environment. “Kahi Estates is built to exemplify how our environment shapes us,” said Ar. Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr. “By embracing sustainability, green architecture, and innovation, we aim to provide not just homes but a way of life where residents connect with nature and live more responsibly. We’ve created a development that emphasizes generous green spaces, urban farming, and homes designed to maximize natural light and ventilation, setting a benchmark for future master-planned communities.”

Amenities at Kahi Estates will include a clubhouse, a linear park, and spaces for gathering and relaxation. Central to the design are sustainable features such as eco-friendly homes, urban gardens to support farm-to-table living, and rainwater harvesting systems utilizing butterfly roofs for efficient water collection.

The project also integrates green infrastructure and energy-efficient elements, including preserved fruit-bearing trees, enhanced open spaces, shaded, tree-lined streetscapes, and accessible community farms and vegetable gardens.

“As a property developer, we believe that sustainable living isn’t just a trend; it’s a necessity. By incorporating eco-friendly features and prioritizing community well-being, we’re not just building homes, but crafting a future where people can thrive in harmony with nature,” Lagdameo added.

With a legacy spanning over two decades, Damosa Land remains committed to promoting sustainable, high-quality living. The company is set to redefine residential spaces in Davao, establishing Kahi Estates as a forward-thinking model for integrated, eco-conscious communities.
