Century Properties Group (CPG) and PHirst celebrated National Heroes Day by presenting Olympic double gold medalist Carlos Yulo with a house and lot at PHirst Editions Batulao in Batangas. The ceremonial handover took place at Century City Mall, Makati, before 300 attendees, including CPG and PHirst executives.
Yulo’s new home, named “Charles,” is a single-attached house with a 70 sqm floor area on a 136 sqm corner lot, valued at Php 6 million. The house, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car carport, will be completed by March 2025.
CPG Executive Chairman Amb. Jose E.B. Antonio expressed pride in Yulo’s achievement, presenting the house as a symbol of gratitude. CPG President & CEO Marco Antonio highlighted the shared values of passion and innovation, which have driven both Yulo’s success and Century Properties’ legacy of 38 years. CPG also donated Php 500,000 to the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines to support young athletes. Cynthia Carrion, Yulo’s mentor and Gymnastics Association President, thanked CPG for their generosity.
Yulo shared his gratitude, stating, “Ito na ‘yun. Nagawa natin. Naging motivation ko ‘iyong pangarap ko [na mag gold sa Olympics], at nagpapasalamat ako na hindi ako sumuko at patuloy na ginabayan ni Lord. Nagpapasalamat ako sa disiplina na mag-train araw-araw kahit minsan pakiramdam gusto ko nang sumuko. Hindi ito nagtatapos dito. Tuloy-tuloy tayong mangangarap at lalaban.” [This is it. We made it. My dream [to win gold in the Olympics] motivated me, and I am thankful that I did not give up and lost faith in God. I’m thankful for the discipline to train every day, even when I felt like giving up. It doesn’t end here. We will continue to dream and fight.”]”
The event concluded with the symbolic handover of Yulo’s new home. This follows a similar gesture in 2021 when CPG and PHirst awarded a house and lot to Hidilyn Diaz, the Philippines’ first Olympic gold medalist.
