Property giant Megaworld will open the 1,500-room Grand Westside Hotel before the end of the year inside its 31-hectare Westside City township in the bustling Entertainment City in Parañaque City.
Once opened, the 19-story, two tower hotel will become the biggest hotel development in the Philippines in terms of total room keys.
Grand Westside Hotel will offer a variety of room types and sizes, ranging from Queen Suites (up to 48 square meters), Twin Suites (up to 48 sqm), and Executive Suites (up to 48 sqm). It will also have Twin Suites (35 sqm and Queen Suites (37sqm) designed specifically for specially-abled guests.
“Once it opens, Grand Westside Hotel will become the biggest hotel property in our portfolio and in the entire country to date. It will be just a short drive away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), and promises to delight guests with wonderful views of the world-famous Manila Bay sunset as well as the skylines of Makati, Manila, and Taguig City,” says Cleofe Albiso, managing director, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.
Iconic architecture and signature accommodation
The hotel’s façade evokes an elegant and timeless feel, drawing inspiration from the formation of waves approaching the shore as seen through a series of undulating and sweeping lines enveloping the entire structure. Grand Westside Hotel will also feature a two-level retail and commercial space covering 1,995 square meters of floor area.
At the ground level, guests will be welcomed to a high-ceiling lobby that features a contemporary design, exuding a sophisticated ambience with the use of natural elements, such as wood, stone, metal, and leather.
Over at the amenity floor on the fifth floor, guests will enjoy generous amounts of open space, featuring an expansive pool area with a rewarding view of the picturesque Manila Bay sunset, children’s pool, gazebo, as well as a sprawling Zen garden and outdoor seating area filled with colorful shrubs, flowering plants, and small trees.
Inside, there will be four function rooms that can host different events, from intimate celebrations to big gatherings—three of which can be combined to form a bigger hall good for events with up to 300 people—as well as a fitness gym and massage rooms.
The hotel will feature four dining outlets, including the Grand Westside Café, an all-day dining restaurant serving a combination of Filipino and international cuisines and can accommodate nearly 250 persons. There will also be an Executive Lounge, exclusive to VIP guests, that can host up to 52 persons. Here, guests can dine, do their express check-in and check-out, and fulfill other business functions using the meeting room integrated into this facility.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of celebrated concoctions at the Zabana Bar on the ground floor, while a pool bar will also serve guests their drinks of choice and more on the fifth floor.
